All I have to say before I start this, Whoever Minted coins I hope you bleed in hell...

The Journal of KaziArmada the 2nd, Head Dwarf of Metropolis Usanlolor, 'Murderletter'

1st of Granite, 184
I came here upon notification of the death of my Sister, KaziArmada the First....Appairently she had a good life here at the fort..In line for helping its rule, infact!

What? You want ME to?...No, screw that, I just want to go home and...What are you doing, Let go of me! AARRRGGGHHHHH
-------

So Im stuck here. Murderletter is bassically ready to fall down around our ears because the previous leader bassically up in the middle of the night said 'Fuck THIS noise, Im gone!' and refused to do any more work. So....Im stuck with the job....Great...
Im hating it already.

The previous ruler has left us with a scarry low amount of Booze...For gods sake, You tell me To take this fort over AND THEN LEAVE ME ENOUGH BOOZE FOR ONE DWARF FOR A WEEK!! I hate this Fort already. Thankfully we have a buttload of plants..Im ordering Booze production On the double.

Other then that issue, the Fort SEEMS fine. Granted, its a bit of a Mess, but controled. Every rule comming through seems to have had a set plan, and all togther the place fits togther. The Locals seem amused at newcommers confusion, and point out that after a month, things become easier to understand.

I've started some of my own projects under way Imeditally. Im going to try and clear out as much rubbish as I can, hopefully clean this place up nice and pretty like....And I happened to run into my Sisters Daughter...Named KaziArmada the 2nd....This may cause issues amung us for recgonizition.

The Reign of KaziArmada 2.0 begins then...

If you guys would do me a favor and open the save yourself and tell me exactly what to do to streamline it, Please give me a hand. Other than dumping stockpile stuff, or mass Dwarficide, there dosent seem to me to be any OBVIOUS way to clean out the place and ease its processor load *The fact that i dont lag at all also makes it harder for me to see issues...*
One thing i AM going to do is get rid of those damned coins. And hopefully rid us of some stone..I'd also suggest all players Lower their Init.Ini or whatever it was to lower Popcaps...Mine is turned to 30 for another fort im playing, so i will be recieving NO new Dwarves this turn, as I doubt tons of extra pathing can help Processor strain...

Alright folks..Lets do this :D

Edit:Newsflash...Elves are pissed about the tree's. I could give a rats ass.

Edit:So, out of curoicity...Did ANYONE use notes, or can I just not figure out how to switch notes past the Switch labled for Shutting and flooding the burial chamber, because If the former..I cant find the lever *If there IS one* To shut the front door...which worrys me.
Edit:I posted that Comment on day NINE...Day 11, Goblin Siege....attempt 2 may end baddly already.

Edit:Im just going to keep posting in this post till I go to sleep so I dont clutter the page to Hell.

The Journal of KaziArmada the 2nd, Head Dwarf of Metropolis Usanlolor, 'Murderletter'

11th of Granite

Goblins! So early...I was scared out of my Dwarven mind, Since I Could NOT find the damn lever to shut the door! One of the champions just walked up to me and said 'They'd take care of it'.

All the Military rushed outside...One Dwarf got shot to death, somewhere..I dont know. Then the Goblins reached us. The first wave...my god it was glorious.
The Marksdwarves were firing like a machine gun, And one recruit charged into the middle of the whole thing, Smashing away with his empty crossbow! The first wave never stood a chance!

That same Recruit chased down a Fleeing Goblin and bashed his head in with his Crossbow! Then found another one and Bashed him to! It was AWESOME!

The Total casualtys of the Siege were a Single dwarf nailed through the head with a lucky shot from a goblin, and an Axedwarf with a baddly hurt leg...he should be fine though, still limped into battle screaming his head off.

Oh, I should also mention..A dwarf with a fey mood went totally bonkers. Thankfully, he was already locked into his room...the former ruler must of seen the poor sods demise comming....He'll be psychotic in there till he expires, Angry and Sober...a bad death.

2nd of Slate
My projects are moving along nicley. An atom smasher is being setup to rid us of unnecessary clutter, and I've drafted extra Masons to help put floors into the tower...We have such a beautiful thing,we may as well be able to USE all of it.

14th of Slate
A random Dwarf was stuck down. I have no bloody idea why, or who it even was. Oh well...Back to work.

(I honistly DO have no idea what happened. Someone got stuck down...No idea even WHERE...)

What the bloody hell did you do to the tower taco?!?..Its AWESOME

I built the tower.
As for streamlining. Relocating shops and stockpiles to the second level could save us a lot of pain. Designating haulers and craftdwarves would prevent the crafties from moving things. Beefing up the military and arming it fully will remove a bunch of idlers. Having a designated hauling core and centralizing traffic (with: d -> o) on a few wide corridors will prevent dwarves from wander aimlessely. Getting rid of the stone stockpile right next to the dungeon masters room will prevent dwarves from hauling stone all the way to the top level, a real waster when they go to the -19 to get it. And then the rest is up to your superproject. Whatever you choose to do. Good luck!

EDIT: To find a corpse go to z then to stocks and under corpses you should be able to find that corpse.

I was already planning to get rid of that stockpile, as well as vaporize a good part of its contents....
Also, the tower When i looked at in DF I was confused as hell..switching to VF however..I like it.

And my Megaproject really is just putting FLOORS in the tower, as well as general clean up...Maybe a small adition or two.

Ill start work again in..Eh...Half an hour ish and clean up all the Dwarves Jobs and such. Thank GOD for The wonder that is Dwarf Therapist, or that would be Hell and a half...

I built the tower.
I would have chimed in sooner, but I had family issues and haven't been able to get to my computer all week.

Also, I must've forgotten to put a bunch of brew drinks on repeat as opposed to just one because I could've sworn we had more drinks than that.

I'd like to remind everyone that half of the time I don't even know what I'm talking about. The other half of the time I only sort of know what I'm talking about.

I'm going to let turns slide a bit just because I'm not going to be around much to enforce them

Conot your turn has been forfeit because of the deadline, it's now my turn, and I won't be able to complete it until at least Wednesday because I don't have internet in the new house.
We're waiting for the cables guy(s) to come out and wire up the house.

Almost a week later than expected, I has internets!
Man, there's hardly any activity in this thread, why aren't people posting things?

Anyway, Murderletter time.

The journal of Taco Dan II:

29th Obsidian
Apparently everything's gone to shit in some fortress my aunt was in charge of at some point, and I have to clean it up.
A few years ago I received a letter, that the aunt I was named after was dead, and that her next of kin was to take charge of the fortress.  I was not of age yet and the only other relative was my father, who was busy taking care of me. So recently the fortress has been under command of various people, elected at random. Then I came of age, right around when the former ruler killed himself... Great timing.
So now I'm up shit creek without a paddle, I've been told if I don't accept this job, I'll be put to death, so I'd at least like a chance at life, no matter how small it is.

1st Granite
This place is a shit hole, random drawings everywhere, people in tattered clothes, trying to sell me things. Everyone smells, apparently nobody grooms themselves because there's no water, and the cold.
It's not a normal cold, it gets into your bones, into your brain, this cold hurts, even with all the warm clothing I have on.

2nd Granite
Elves came, bitched about the trees, I ordered all the trees cut down. That'll show 'em!

10th Granite
The tower has really fucking weird architecture, for one thing, there's no floors! I have people fixing this now.

11th Granite
Siege, time to get inside and let the traps take care of them.

13th Granite
Stone-fall traps took most of them out, the rest fled, two got in, one killed by a champion, the other in a cage trap, we have a prisoner.

17th Granite
I've begun construction of a room for a firing line, the cage(s) will go at the far end, and marksdwarves will be posted on the other, a lever will be connected to the cage(s) and the prisoner(s) will be let out only to have arrows pierce their skull(s) a moment later.

7th Slate
The marksdwarves are in position, and the lever is about to be pulled... YES! The marksdwarves let loose about two dozen arrows, slaying the prisoner, and throwing him back against the wall, workers are moving the body, and I believe this was a great success.

16th Slate
Apparently someone calling himself 'Plank of Wood' has bled to death, the cause of the bleeding is unknown.

20th Slate
A philosopher is here, fucking useless, he doesn't do anything.

I'm done, got stuff going on, and other stuff to do, pretty much not interested, take your pick of the many excuses I could come up with. I'm uploading the save, if you want to take it, be my guest.
