Continued Journal of 'Tony' Kogendodok:

1st Granite

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I applaud Murderletter for making it this long, think of me what you will, but I thought we'd all be dead by now. I'm feeling important, I got called into a meeting with the ruler today, I'm excited, usually that means good thing will happen. Wish me luck!

2nd Granite

They made me ruler, I'm so nervous, but excited, but worried. I'm worried that will befall the same fate as past rulers, Neruz, power-drunk and creating a deathtrap of a living space, or Taco Dan ripped to shreds by a skeletal beast for not being cautious enough. I will take precautions to make sure this never happens.

5th Granite

I noticed smelters and blacksmiths have had to trek halfway across the fortress to get to the bar/block stockpile, I've told the miners to dig out a new space for forge things. This may take a while, as it's pretty big.

10th Granite

Someone's been vomiting on their way to the quarry! What's worse is nobody will clean it up! It's just vomit people!

12th Granite

I've ordered the placing of several cabinets in the barracks, it seems our fighters have no problem leaving their possessions strewn about on the floor, in the blood and vomit that people NEED TO CLEAN UP.

16th Granite

Elves! Filthy hippie bastards, I plan on seizing all of their trade goods and kicking them out.

Ha! That'll teach them not to hug trees!
Got lots of cloth, wood and food

25th Granite

Goblins! Curse...

I think I'll do a quick turn if nobody minds, It'll take about an hour or two, four tops.

EDIT:
(After seeing tower)
O_O
I applaud you sir!

Thanks! The tower turned out really well! Hopefully it will inspire some great constructions or excavations. I'll definitely be down for returning to Murderletter in a couple of turns.

27th Granite

The goblins are a fleshy heap, but now we have a named sasquatch, this should be easy to take care of.

28th Granite

Sasquatches (yes multiple) are approaching the fortress, alarms have been sounded, and.. which lever closes the drawbridge?  I'll just pull both.

29th Granite

My panic was premature, the traps took care of one, and the other ran off, what's odd is that neither levers I pulled activated the bridge, thy're both on, yet the drawbidge is still open, and nothing has happened. Hmm...

10th Slate

I've begun work on a little secret project myself.  I'm not giving anything away, but it's going to be dwarvenly!

24th Slate

I haven't been writing because nothing's really happened these past few days, work is slow, hauling is slow, but what can you do?

25th Slate

Economy! Tax Collector! Baron! GAH!

(OOC: Oh Armok, I've never had a baron before.)

26th Slate

Hammerer ran straight for a sass the minute we got here, he's being torn to shreds as we speak.

Update: The hammerer broke off both it's arms and ran off, he has minor wounds and if he needs hospitalization he will surely die, I'll send for a new one...

27th Slate

The Baron just got here and is already ordering us around. Oh Zalud, I hate nobles!

18th Felsite

Hauling, Designating.

1st Hematite

It's summer and a bit warmer.

12th Hematite

Humans! someone to trade with!

13th Hematite

Sass set off an ambush, no threat to us.

Update: It is a threat, I didn't expect the goblins to have an elf with them, sending military.

14th Hematite

Goblins ambushed the humans, shouldn't be a problem.

16th Hematite

One champion took out a whole ambush with an elf leading it...
His kills:

 :o :o

17th Hematite
Will the bastard goblins not rest? more have popped up, again with an elf leading them, we will have to look into the matter.

20th of Hematite

Traded for some metal and LOTS of food and drink.

22nd Hematite

More ambushes! One casualty, an engineer.

24th Hematite

Migrants!
Shops are set up, now we need people to run them.

28th Hematite

My secret project is half done. it should be complete by the end of the year.

24th Malachite

An engraver has withdrawn from society. He holed up inside a crafts workshop, and is only coming out to grab things from stockpiles.

10th Galena

Sibrek, The engraver, has strted constructing something, I have no idea what.

20th Galena

Sibrek finally emerged from the workshop with an amulet held high above his head. It's valued at a whopping 106800 DBs. Not too bad if I don't say so myself.

25th Galena

Nothing interesting is happening.

13th Limestone

Dwarven caravan ahoy! Hopefully they have some good things to sell us.

19th Limestone

Traded some crafts for metals.

24th Limestone

I think it got even colder. I've been living here for years and it's always been cold, but I think it got colder. I can't feel anything anymore, too numb, why did I sign up to be in this hellhole anyway?

26th Limestone

A guard suffocated today nobody knows how, I'll have him buried.

28th Limestone

Am I going insane? Hearing voices of the dead talking to me, telling me to get out, but how? If I return to the Mountainhomes they will surely jail me for the crimes that sent me here in the first place, where else could I go?

5th Sandstone

People are vomiting everywhere outside, it's disgusting, I hate this place.

12th Sandstone

I had a dream last night, I was back in the mountainhomes, all of my friends were there, standing around me, I was in a hospital, healing my frostbite. Suddenly everything turned to ice and I realized I was still in my room, freezing my ass off.

24th Sandstone

I vomited today, must be sick, better lie down.

2nd Timber

Oh boy, migrants, more ex-criminals thinking this will be their chance at life. Think again.

[From the journal of Mosus Shovethrith, Tony's friend]

3rd Timber
Tony's been acting odd lately, he seems distant, and he won't talk to anyone, which worries me. Anyway, on a happier note, I heard we've been made a duchy which means the king will be coming soon, I'm so happy, being here has finally paid off.

I found this in the meeting hall:

12th Timber

I was talking to a couple people, and a couple of them seemed very noticeable:

14th Timber

Tony told me he's going up to the tower, I hope he's not too depressed.

15th Timber
[There are drops of blood on this page as well as what look like tears]
Oh Ar-ok he'- dead! He thr-w himself from the tower, a-d I was right there, -t the bottom, he just... splatt-red!

17th Timber

The funeral is today, I still can't believe it.

20th Timber

Crying myself to sleep at night has made it colder, I came to the shocking realization that we're not all safe, I have to pull through.

19th Moonstone,

Roads are being paved with ice, over the blood and vomit, as if trying to hide the history.

2nd Opal
Almost at the end of the year, I've found working to be the best way to get over the sadness.

20th Opal

Stonecrafter went secretive today, kicked a bone crafter out of his workshop. Wonder what he'll make.

1st Obsidian

Lots of exploratory mining.

9th Obsidian

Stonecrafter wants shell, we don't have any, we can only hope to wall him off and wait until he dies...

10th Obsidian

Two woodcutters got married, their names aren't important.

13th Obsidian

Uncovered a huge vein of hematite.

30th Obsidian

Because of current events, we have no ruler, a new one will be chosen tomorrow.

How did your dwarf get stricken by melachony, Taco?
Logged
Thief:"Quiet kitty, Qui-"
Cat:"THIEF! Protect the hoard from the skulking filth!"
The resulting party killed 20 dwarves, crippled 2 more and the remaining 9 managed to get along and have a nice party.

How did your dwarf get stricken by melachony, Taco?

What's strange is I didn't even get a message about it, I saw that he had been struck down after colliding with an object and I went to check it out.  And there he was, splattered all over the ground. I wasn't really paying too much attention to him though.

Bug? I guess?

EDIT:
On a side note, I tried to visit Murderletter in adventure mode, like in Boatmurdered, and there was so much water the frame rate slowed down to less than 1 FPS.

A shitty framerate and a fuckton of dwarves. Good luck. You'll really need to streamline this sucker if it's going to be playable.

Since im running a god machine, I figure i should devote my whole turn to streamlining as you all say...

However its going to have to wait a few hours....I made an attempt for the last hour...All I can say is a Bridge smashing a pair of Dwarves ..maybe three or more, I dont know...set off a clusterfuck of a Tantrum that ended in about half a dozen dwarves running around murdering folk, one of them with an Axe lodged in him...

*sigh*...Welcome to Fucking Murderletter!!!
Ya Know, now that im paying attention 100% to what im doing this time around, i actaully realized...

What the bloody hell did you do to the tower taco?!?..Its AWESOME
