That's not the bar stockpile.

It's the block stockpile (as in stone blocks). I designated the bar stockpile next to the forges.

I guess I should've noted that somewhere though.

Most of my stockpiles are that way, might want to look through what they accept before cancelling them.

-_-

Also;

11th Slate

Immigrants, i knew it. Our population is up to 56 and the people want a captain of the guard. One of the immigrants was an Axedwarf, so he's just been promoted, hopefully his complete lack of usefulness will serve the fortress guard well.

16th Felsite

I feel... Strange... I feel i must go to... to the forge... Yes... The forge... STEEL, I NEED STEEL!

24th Felsite

I don't know what came over me, the last few days are a meaningless blur, i just woke up holding this incredible steel mace, and somehow i just know i'm the best weaponsmith i've ever seen.

I don't understand this, but this mace is incredible, and i think one of the champions has been eyeing it...

I am going to be very mad at you if you make the champions spar with that mace without proper protection.

That said, hurray, useful artifact!

23rd Hematite

Things have been going so fast it's nearly impossible to keep track of what's going on!

Urist just came charging into my office screaming about a Goblin Ambush.

Unfortunately for the Goblins, they ran straight into Mestthos, he seems to be entranced by the artifact steel mace i somehow made, and i've managed to get a suit of steel armor for him, so the whole battle lasted about ten seconds.

There's pieces of Goblin all over the glacier outside the front door, that will teach those little bastards. Mestthos seems pretty happy to have blooded his mace on some Goblins, although he seems to be muttering some nonsense about skeletons which doesn't seem to make any sense. Bah, who cares, my secret project has run into problems so i need to go off and supervise it.

I think that upwards stair hints at the nature of the project.

Then again, that's a pretty broad spectrum of possible projects.

They actually lead to a small defencive fortification i made when i noticed that the big ice tower is made entirely of walls. Rather than reengineer it to have fortifications so our archers can shoot at enemies (not that we need them with Mestthos and his artifact steel mace) i just built a new tower on top of the entrance.

22nd Malachite

Things are whizzing by, i've just been informed that the initial stages of my secret project are complete, excellent. Urist also said that three of the new immigrants suffered minor cuts and bruises and are now lying in bed demanding water. I seriously considered locking them in there until Urist said that he couldn't give them water due to having no water source.

After i took him downstairs and threw him into the pools of water left behind by what look like previous aquifer breaching attempts he shut up. He also turned a funny blue color, probably not an issue.

As an afterthought, i've instructed somone to build a well into the aquifer, well, why not?

24th Malachite

My advisor Urist says we attracted no migrants this summer. I kicked him down the stairs for stating the bleeding fucking ovbious. Now he's in bed complaining about how i injured his leg, i told him that if he didn't get better in ten seconds i'd pipe aquifer water into his room, suddenly, miracle cure!

I've also located the cause for the minor injuries; apparantly the Mayor, our past leader, decided to ban the export of nickel silver items without telling me, i didn't even think we had any nickel silver items, but apparantly we somehow did, and we traded them to the humans for fish, when he went to the stockpile to wallow in his precious nickel silver he discovered it all missing and has demanded that our captain of the guard beat up whoever happened to be around at the time in the name of justice.

I could build a jail, but none of the dwarves in question matter, so i don't think i can be bothered.

11th Galena

Decided to use my newfound skills to forge a few spears, hammers and axes. I have no idea if we'll ever need them considering the incredible job Mestthos does with Fireybreached, but just in case it'll be good to have some quality weapons around the place.

I also just noticed that Mestthos's title is The Barricaded Lanterns of Faith, considering he's on permanent duty barricading the door from goblin ambushes this seems surprisingly apt. He also keeps muttering about skeletons, i'm starting to wonder if he might have suffered a brain injury at some point.

22nd Galena

The Goblins sent a number of thieves to steal children. They found Fireybranched instead.

Construction on my secret project seems to have reached an impasse, i intend to throw snow at people until it is completed.

(Nothing interesting to show pictures of this time.)

18th Limestone

Traders just arrived, time to offload all this junk we got from looting the dead goblins.

21st Limestone

The traders bought a metric fuckton of metal bars, apparantly the previous leader wanted them, who cares, i've bought the lot, and then some, when we handed over all this goblin crap one of the traders actually started drooling.

22nd Limestone

Another goblin ambush. They got Medtob, one of the immigrant hunters. He took two down with him, but fell before their blades. I've sent Fireybranched out to deal with the goblins.

This time a second group brought bowgoblins, this could be dangerous...

25th Limestone

Kadol, one of our excess engravers, was shot down outside the fortress with an arrow in his throat, curses! Shortly later the two non-Fireybranched-armed champions arrived and strangled the forerunners of the party, the bowgoblins fled like cowards.

26th Limestone

One of the Peasants just went Fey and claimed a craftsdwarf workshop. Great, a useless craft is about to be created. At least he's grabbed some stone, so we should get a decent stonecrafter out of this.

In other news, my secret project has picked up and is nearing completion, it should be done by the end of the year, at which point this fortress will never hear nor see from me again.

3rd Sandstone

It's a fucking Dolomite Drum. Gah. I'll give Aban points for creativeness with the name though.
