It's party time! My friends and I are having an early new years celebration! It's going to be great!

21st of Obsidian
Oh god, what did I do last night? all I know is they want to hang me tomorrow at noon! What can I do?

They gave me a choice; either hang, or go on some expedition to a glacier. I chose the latter, only as I'm packing up they tell me it's apparantly haunted. It's supposed to be a suicide mission. If I had known I would have chosen to hang.

28th of Obsidian
New years, It was supposed to be great, but now I'm out in the cold, with a bunch of misfits and other misunderstood dwarves that didn't know what they were getting into. They said we're almost there, we should make it by tomorrow.

1st of Granite
They appointed me manager? Why? I have no experience with this kind of stuff. Worse, they said we had to build an outpost, hopefully we won't have to stay here long. My first act as manager was to send a scout to take a list of all the moving creatures around us and give it to me, she came back with this:

Skeletal sasquatch? She's got to be kidding! I followed her, and sure enough:

Other than that it's pretty quiet around here, I thought it would be more... terrifying.
I've told Sythun, our miner, to start digging into the ice, and KaziArmada to start cutting down trees for lumber. We might just survive this yet.

Dante` returned from supposedly scouting, with a kill. Apparently there are groundhogs around here that she failed to mention!

Horrible news,

Dante`'s been killed, by that terrible sasquatch. She was out hunting yesterday and never came back, we sent a search party to investigate and found her dead body by the sasquatch, it's hands still dripping with blood, such is the dangers of hunting. We will have to put her in a coffin at some point, but later, when the sasquatch is gone.


14th of Granite
I've designated some area to be dug out for a workshop area and a food storage area, unfortunately  we don't have any good stone for crafting and building with, looks like we'll have to use ice.
Here's a sketch of what I've designated so far:

I'm actually starting to think it wasn't a suicide mission after all. Although there was Dante`, Poor Dante`, she will be missed...

1st of Slate
We've built a mason's workshop, but there's one problem, our mason says he can't work with ice, even though he was just fine with building his workshop out of it! So in order to make him happy I have to tell Sythun to mine elsewhere, which really complicates things. This new job can be really hard sometimes.

24th of Slate
Delays! Delays! Sythun has hit an aquifer and can't dig any deeper! At this rate we may never get any stone!

18th of Felsite
Argh! everywhere we dig there's more aquifer, we won't be able to get any stone ourselves, but a caravan should come in the autumn and maybe be carrying some stone.

24th of Felsite
I've told KaziArmada to chop down more trees and construct a carpenter's shop, he's done as he's told and now we will begin constructing furniture.  In addition, I've designated the entrance hall to be lengthened, and a room for furniture storage to be added, things are going well.

The first season went surprisingly well, except for the death of Dante`.
