TURN 35! REDWALL HAS NOTHING ON COOKIE
Calm fire mage down, by any means. Expect like, killing him.
[3] You attempt to talk some sense into the mage, but he is too busy shouting his head off to really pay any attention to your words. He seems rather intent on that talisman.
Loot the body, picking up the axe and talisman. I then butcher the body with the thundrous axe in a bloody fury, sacrificing it to Armok.
You run up to the Chieftain's corpse, and ransack it. [1] You retrieve your axe and the talisman, but considering the lizardman was essentially nude you are not surprised to find nothing else of value. You then get to work butchering the corpse, [1] instead striking a nearby rock. It and the axe erupt with a thunderous racket, deafening you for the moment.
Greet him properly, show that i am a civil being and hold no grudge against him. allow him to see that i am respectful of such a powerful being though.
[6] As the thing grows agitated, you explain that you are respectful of his might. He seems to almost shrink, in a sense. He points at you, and a deathly rattling noise reverberates all around you. You have no idea what he is saying, but he obviously attempting to communicate with you. A moment later, however, a small image appears in your mind, which is actually what you are in; thus, it appears as a small map on a nearby wall. You approach it, and see it is a detailed map of... The Dark Halls!
*looks at gem and drools* *tests black breath*
After expressing your interest in the gem, you notice you have finished pulling yourself together, and test the breath you used earlier. When you open your mouth and exhale, a black smog jets from it, shrouding everything nearby. After testing on a few deer, it becomes obvious that the breath is a neuro-toxin or something like that, as it apparently deprives the victim of senses and motor functions, leaving them as easy prey.
Take amulet for further research (involving a think history book)
You snatch away the amulet from your comrade and begin to research it. Ignoring the screams of protest from the mage, you look through a collection of books you brought with you to see if you can find any information about it. [2] Sadly, it appears this artifact is either recently made, or not worth the ink used to document it. Considering the way it amplified the lizardman's abilities, you suspect it is the former.
loot bodies
[1] You found some lizardman blood, famed throughout the kingdom for being entirely useless, even by alchemist standards.
Search the captains body for anything else of use, and search the other dead.
[6] Amongst the dead you find what appears to be a shaman staff. You inspect it closer, and discover that it has a mild mind-control ability. With it, you can control one creature as long as you hold the staff.
look to make sure my son? is ok...
and loot (preferably swords)
Seeing that your golem son is doing all right, you loot [2] and find some stone axes. Sadly, the lizardmen are apparently not evolved enough to use swords.
Check my new abilities out (like jumping, spitting, amr strecht and so on)
Your new body appears to be very durable. As best you can tell, only decapitation would outright kill you. You also find that you can spit acid, though it has a limit. You are not particularly stretchy, though, considering you are made of acid.
Prepare a feast for everyone to celebrate the defeat of the lizardmen!
[6+3] You and Remy get to work, and create a smorgasbord of all the greatest foods you can think of. It turns out ten times better than you expected, with food exquisite even by kings' standards. Boozebeard alerts everyone that they will be spending the night here, to make sure none of the food goes to waste.
Also, Jesus showed up for the food. Moocher.
