TURN THREE: REFERENCES ABOUND!
I leave a little carving on my bunk, this carving depicts !!xUrist McDwarfx!!, !!XUrist McDwarfX!! is sleeping on the Bunk, !!XXUrist McDwarfXX!! has burned to death. I practise climbing around on the ship's rigging.
[4] By some fluke, you manage to make an average-looking engraving, but you're not sure how you did it. [3] You attempt to scale the rigging, but you soon decide that you're getting nowhere, and head back down.
Exit the tavern, and shoot the damn rifle out of the barkeep's hands just as I exit the building. Then, beat feet, and go for the ship. (Keep an eye on mechanical stuff of all kind!)
[4] You manage to shoot the rifle out of the bartender's hands, also nicking his shoulder. You leave the bar calmly. [3] You get there safely, though you spotted no mechanical loot on the way there.
Leave and go to the ship, and take stock of our provisions.
[2] On your way to the ship, you are stopped by two scantily clad women, obviously prostitutes, who note that you are alone, and offer you some "company" if you go back to a little house they own on the corner.
Well, I'll just wait for my crew members now.
[4] The wait is uneventful as your fellow crew members trickle into the ship.
lay pistol aside for now and go see about an armory of some sort to "acquire" another.
[4] You set your pistol down, and acquire a new one from the armory. It appears to be functional, if not stylish.
Head to bow of ship and strike a menacing pose
[6] As you strike the pose, a passing Titan takes note of your awe-inspiring pose, and suggests you wear a hat and hold a staff to make it even better. You agree, and hold the pose for some time. [6] Suddenly, two dwarves come running onto the ship, dragging a golden statue of... YOU! They quickly explain that they wish you to use their new statue on your ship.
Characters:From the Mountainhomes of The Crescent of Dawning, Urist has enjoyed a priveliged life, but always wanted to go on an adventure. So, he decided to learn about being on a boat. He was offered a job, and accepted, not realizing who exactly his employer was.
Has taken as a child by Kobolds and traded to humans, who forced into slavery on a privateer. He has no idea of his Dwarf name but uses Silverlash (a name from an older dwarf that tuaght him English [or whatever we speak on this world]) now that he is free. Is very fierce and is almost too human-like to be around dwarfs.
Steel Battle Axe; mysterious liquid
Proficient Cook/Brewer; Dabbling Magic
A cook who has traveled the world searching for new exotic dishes and spices. He keeps a chest full of the rarest and most exquisite spices he finds on his journeys, and intends to one day make, as he calls it, "my Feast," the culmination of all his skill and knowledge, with the use of all his precious spice possessions.
She was sold into slavery to pay off her gambling debts, but the ship she was being taken to her buyer on was destroyed by pirates. After being washed ashore she realised that there was nothing left of her old life and she was better off letting the world think that she was dead. With no place in civilised society she has signed up with a pirate crew and never looked back.
She doesn't gamble any more but has a habit of leaving playing cards that explode.
Dabbling Mechanic; Novice Ambusher
Exiled by his own race for being a little nuts, he has taken to become pirate. Has an unhealthy obsession with machinery and technology of all sorts. His ability to actually use two pistols at the same time effectively makes him a valuable asset in each team, as one glance at him tends to make the opponents wish they would have brought their brown pants.
Enemies:None. They're dead. They're all dead..
Environment:The Captain storms up from below deck, confused at the new statue on his ship. He is a short, longbearded Dwarf, with an eyepatch and two peg legs. There is a Skeletal Giant Eagle on his shoulder, which occasional screeches when he speaks. He talks for a few moments with the two new Dwarfs, and laughs heartily. He approaches Urist and tells him that since his statue is now the newest visual attraction on the ship, he can rename it, if he wishes!
Locations:Somewhere in the port town.
Bustling streets filled to the brim with people shopping. There are city guards on every other street corner, prostitutes on the ones now patrolled by the guards.
