That's right! I've decided to jump on the bandwagon and start my own RTD! And what will the theme be? Why, simple, my child, NINJAS!
Just kiddin' ye, it be Pirates! Now, there's a few things ye need t' take note of, this here be a HIGH FANTASY Pirate game! That means we won't be on Earth, but a world of me own makin'! Now that I've gotten that pirate speak out of my system, here's the character sheet:
NOTE: You will not have your own ships, rather you will serve as crew members on one. For now, at least.
Name: (Anything, really, but preferably pirate-y.)
Race: (Now, there's a few races you need to know, but I'll get to that later.)
Skills: (This is any non-combat skill your character may have, and you can only choose one at the beginning. It could be gunner, to man the cannons, navigator, to guide the ship, or whipping boy, for everyone else to hate. As long as it benefits the crew as a whole, I don't care - with a few exceptions, of course.)
Combat preference: (Here, you can choose your starting weapon. The generic options are cutlass and flintlock pistol, or longsword and flintlock pistol. Each race, however, has their own unique choices, if they wish to use them, that will be explained in the race section.)
Bio: (Here you can just any background to your character to give them a bit more personality. As long as it's not ridiculous, I'll try to incorporate their personality into the game.)
Here's the deal on races (and the ships they usually pilot!):
Now then, here's all the races you can choose:
*Human: Exactly what you think it is. Very mundane, can learn magic, but has no ability of it to start with.
**Ship Type: They use classic 17th and 18th century wooden ships that you'd expect to see in the Caribbean.
**Extra Weapons: Can use a rapier and flintlock pistol, better for stabbing in-between plated armor.
*Dwarf: What would this game be without Dwarves? No magic ability whatsoever, but are less likely to be wounded, and get a bonus in melee combat.
**Ship Type: The only steam-powered race, they tend to pilot Ironclad ships, plated with thick metal.
**Extra Weapons: Can take either a steel-tipped crossbow or an axe. The crossbow is better at melee than flintlock pistols or swords, but is less accurate. The axe leaves you with no ranged attack, but quite capable in melee.
*High Elf: Terrible with all weapons save a few, but start off with basic knowledge of fire spells.
**Ship Types: Usually sail in large longship-type boats, with only a single deck for the cannons and one massive sail. The fastest boat, but also easiest to sink.
**Extra Weapons: Can use bows, terrible in melee but are the best ranged weapon. They also have the choice of a spear, good for repelling boarding actions.
*Goblin: Hated and misunderstood, Goblins are actually skilled traders. But they're also evil. That usually ends up being bad for business. The only race besides Dwarves that can wear heavier armor at sea, and they are nearly as advanced, though most of the technology of the Dwarves they replicate with magic. They start out with a Frost Bolt spell.
**Ship Types: It is unknown how, but they somehow managed to make massive ships of Granite. Considering the fact that they're rock and are defying the laws of physics, they are very slow but almost impossible to destroy.
**Extra weapons: Can choose two pistols as opposed to one, a flintlock rifle, or a halberd
Characters:

DiakronName: Edward "Silverlash" Teach (
pirate refrenced
)
Race: Dwarf
Skills: Pistoleer
Combat preference: Altough not commonly used by dwarfs, Silverlash uses a plunder Flintlock Pistol he took from human captors when he escaped.
Bio: Has taken as a child by Kobolds and traded to humans, who forced into slavery on a privateer. He has no idea of his Dwarf name but uses Silverlash (a name from an older dwarf that tuaght him English [or whatever we speak on this world]) now that he is free. Is very fierce and is almost too human-like to be around dwarfs.
ToonyManName: ToonyManner
Race: Dwarf
Skills: Navigator
Combat Preference: Axe
Bio: Arr.
FrelockName: Fre "Cookie" Blackflag
Race: Dwarf
Skills: Proficient Cook/Brewer

Bio: A cook who has traveled the world searching for new exotic dishes and spices. He keeps a chest full of the rarest and most exquisite spices he finds on his journeys, and intends to one day make, as he calls it, "my Feast," the culmination of all his skill and knowledge, with the use of all his precious spice possessions.
RAMName: Blackjack Blue
Race: High Elf
Skills: Lookout
Combat preference: Bow
Bio: She was sold into slavery to pay off her gambling debts, but the ship she was being taken to her buyer on was destroyed by pirates. After being washed ashore
ErrolName: Axle "Two Holes" Gear
Race: Gobbo
Appearance: Always wears red headgear of some sort, a shirt that may have been colored at some time but that's impossible to make out anymore, thick leather gloves and ancient long pants. Barefoot. Small but speedy, and usually seen with a maniacal grin. Also owns the obligatory black eyepatch but sometimes he forgets to wear it.
Skills: Pistol Dual-Wielder, Dabbling Mechanic
Combat preference: Two pistols at the same time.
Bio: Exiled by his own race for being a little nuts, he has taken to become pirate. Has an unhealthy obsession with machinery and technology of all sorts. His ability to actually use two pistols at the same time effectively makes him a valueable asset in each team, as one glance at him tends to make the opponents wish they would have brought their brown pants.
I'll consider starting with four players, but will be willing to take up to six at a time.
NOTE: Considering that I am an OCD nut, I feel like I've forgotten something, so please feel free to let me know if I've left out a major detail.
