But then that wouldn't be their dead mother. The Obvious solution is that we pay no attention to this logic.

"Rat thing" and "Pikachu?" Are you sure they aren't one and the same?

...Oh, right. The fire imp snake mouse/gerbil, correct?

Nevertheless, I believe the proper logical solution for the Cubone/Marowak skulls is that the mother was cloned with a glitch over and over again before having children. That way the mother is still able to give birth while nevertheless dying and giving a skull to the child. Plus, you can just clone the mother again after that, too.

See? Logic!

The Rat thing is like a mouse, but no fire.
Dammit I needed quick attack to defeat onyx but I don't think its in this version.

Just grind to level 20 and use slam. It worked for me.

Actually, I believe it's Cyndaquil. He does not learn (if I'm not mistaken) Quick Attack, is one of the starters, and has no fire unless he's attacking. He's (amazingly) blue and tan, and for some strange reason his nose actually moves from side to side when he walks.

Is this the one you were talking about? I can't think of any other "rat thing" that wouldn't have Quick Attack and not have fire. Of course, given your description I couldn't give you any guesses other than that.

And by the by: Quick Attack is in this version, but it's a lackluster pseudo-ranged attack that can hit up to one tile away, as opposed to ranged attacks which can hit from any distance. It wouldn't help you at all, really - it's also somewhat weak.

Actually its Ratatta, I seem to only win in Fire Red, and in yellow version, you only get Pikachu.
Also Team Rocket (The goofy character ones.)

Ok easy trick to beat Brok:
1. Get pidgey.
2. Train pidgey up until it gets sand attack. This is fairly low level.
3. Get Caterpie.
4. Evolve caterpie into butterfrie (sp?)
5. Use confusion on geodude
6. Spam sand attack on onyx then use confusion once pidgey dies.
7. ???
8. Play DF 1.0
9. Profit.
