One handed, hence the question as to whether I should keep one for when/if you get a shield.

Also next update is done but the internet is playing up on the computer that will run icewind dale and thus contains all the stuff, I'll try and get it up tommorrow.

Only if they're throwing axes.

Right, you can't throw the axes, throwing axes look different (more of a blue head) and have a number by them to show how many you have left. I sold most of them but kept one so you can decide to help you make an informed decision heres a comparison:
The two hander does 1d10 of damage (roll a 10 sided dice and it does that much damage)
The one handed axed does 1d8 of damage, it also means enemies attacking you need to roll one higher on a 20 sided dice in order to hit you than they normally would, enemies attacking you with ranged weapons have to roll 2 higher.

Onto the update:
With the goblins defeates and what was left of the fish recovered the heroes returned triumphant to the the child.

No material reward was forthcoming but the party felt as if they had all learned a little from the experience. At last our weary heroes could find a bed, and they gratefully retired in the inn to rest a while.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Refreshed the party decided to explore the town more, drunken bawling from a nearby house attracted them where a drunken old fisherment lamented being cut off from his supply of wine.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Taking pity on him they headed over to Pomabs to buy him a bottle and as a rewrd were repayed the cost along with a little tip. Much more important however they were initiated into the brotherhood of fishermen and they could feel years of experience being channeled into their bodies.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Having done their good deed for the day the party wandered into the local temple were the head priest regailed them with a rather unorthadox interpretation of the story of Jerrods Stone
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
However this casual chat was interrupted by shouts of distress outside, hurrying out they found that a nearby shopkeeper had a wolf inside his shop. They agreed to help him and after Mortold had hewn through the door with his mighty axe they were inside staring down the beast.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The barrage of magic struck the wolf at the same time as Raynes blades and together they utterly smothered all life from it. Leaving nothing more than a corpse to prove it ever existed.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The wolf slain so easily the party began to wander the lake shore, contemplating how easily life can be taken from you, this lead them to spot a strange blue woman, hurrying over they heard her song, and immediately began to question whether this could be the woman from Jhonen's dreams.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Ok so choice time, apart from the special dagger we need to decide whether to give Jhonen the blade and in return get a pearl from Elisia or tell him that she is an evil spirit and get him to give uss all his stuff, this lets us keep the blade too although I'm not sure whether it's possible to ever repair it, I seem to remember a friend telling me you could but I might be mistaken...
Then I also need to know whether you think we should go see hrothgar next or go exploring out to the east of town.

Darn, I didn't get to smack the wolf around. :(

Give Jhonen's sword back.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
(dunno if that needs to be spoilered, but anyway...)

And: see Hrothgar.

I was probably incorrectly remembering him telling me that then.

A shame you never told about the power of DUAL CLASS!

Makes the game a bit dull, though fun in some cases.

In any case, take the sword.

Also remember that a Ranger that holds nothing in the shield slot will gain +1 attacks per round. Whether intended or not, 2h Weapons also benefit.

Yes, I shall probably try and restart this if there is still interest.

Lots of stuff happened round about the time I stopped and I just kind of forgot about it. So next update shall come today or possibly tomorrow.
