My vote: Take the dagger, Take the quest, just keep the scrolls for now.

Not that I know of, as far as I know the only ability they have is soaking up damage and dealing it Anyhow I'll do the quest but I'm waiting on on the final word from the two mages as to what I should do with the scrolls.

Let's just keep the scrolls, and go bug hunting.

As each member of the party approached the stairs down to the cellar, they looked over their equipment. Hesitant and scared this offered them an excuse to delay their inevitable task. They also agreed with each other on the correct disposal of their bodies should one of them not return, a fate which seemed almost inevitable.

As they reached the bottom of the stairs the party realised it was worse than they could possibly have imagined. Four of the horrifying beasts threatened them.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Fierce battle raged for many seconds, defeat seemed certain when Mortold Suprised them all with three fell swoops of his giant two handed axe he killed 3 of their enemy, and the last of the beetle could not withstand them all.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The gory battle finally over the survivors stopped to tally the dead, all four beetles lay slain but who knew how many countless dead there were on the demi-human side? Unable to find any corpses they came a simple conclusion, the beetles had eaten them! and so the death toll was set at an understated 5 million. The bittersweet taste of victory still in their mouths the party claimed their reward. Likely they would face many more challenges but none as tough as this one.

There's a wolf in the warehouse, a fisherman being troubled by a blue elf, a fisherman in need of wine, and the boy who lost his fish.

Update, sorry for not updating yesterday. I must have eaten something that didn't agree with me because spent half the day on the toilet.

Anyhow onto the update:

Having dealt with the bugs the party decided to head over to the local Inn to get a room a rest, however they were distracted by sound of someone humming. Drawn to the noise they found a fisherman, daydreaming, after a few polite inquires they discovered that he was haunted by strange dreams of a beautiful woman.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Ines assured him they would attempt to get to the bottom of the mystery before they set back off for the Inn, once again fate stopped them however as a young boy came running up before they could enter.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
He was babbling about monsters and before Aramil could give him a quick cuff and send him on his way Ines stepped in claiming they should do their utmost to help him.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The monsters turned out to be a small band of goblins, at the sight of his sworn enemies Rayne hisssed and immediately drew his bow, a steep cliff face seperated them but his arrows flew true and struck down the leader of the pack and one of the archers, a barrage of stones from various different slings caused the other archer to collapse.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Sheathing their ranged weapons the party noticed the other goblins scaling the cliff to the east, drawing mellee weapons they prepared to charge.

The battle was short and nasty, the goblins stood no chance against both the skillfully wielded weapons and the spells of Endyn and Aramil. After slaughtering the goblins the survivors went about the business of picking over the dead and checking their wounds. The bodies provided a sizeable amount of loot and thankfully no-one had been harmed.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Sooo decision time with the loot:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Most of it we probably want to sell, the arrows can go to Rayne, so then there are 2 questions, first up the high quality dagger, I'm thinking we could either sell it or give it to Endyn. She doesn't have the proficiency but she also lacks the proficiency for her current weapon too and the +1 THAC0 might help her get over that. Second is do we want to give Mortold one of the axes, it would save us a few coins if you want to give him a shield when we get to the next town where they will have more shields in stock.

staves have longer reach than daggers. imo you should keep your mage off the front line, but w/e

I can take the dagger, but keep the sling as a main weapon. Use the dagger when the enemy gets a little bit too close than comfortable.

Just to tell you, it seems one of the images are broken.  Anyways, if Akroma wants to create a character, this will be the second one in line.

Name: Luckk Straightairn

Gender: Male

Portrait: Gnome Rogue

Race: Gnome since that picture would look weird for a human.

Alignment: Lawful Evil

Abilities: Dexterity of course.

I guess for the 30 points, I'll spend it on 1 in pick pocket and two in find traps.
(I don't entirely understand it, but that should be 30 points spent.  Just let me know if I need to correct it.)

Skills:  I'll spend one point into Bows and the other in Small Swords.

Description: A gnome thief that decided to join on this adventure to test his skills and see what types of riches are to be had.  He doesn't do whatever he feels however.  Even being evil, he feels the need to follow the thief code and has even been described by some of his past targets he stole from as a gentlemen.

There, that should just about do it.  Mind you, I have never really played as a rogue (I usually play as paladins :)), but I felt like I should change it up a bit.

Ok, it will probably be a while until someone dies but if they do I'll shove you in. And if Akroma wants to make a character then she can go in first.
