Hmm... Don't mages and clerics get Detect Trap later on?

Also, yeah, I seem to remember an epic delayed fireball trap or something of that sort that basically causes loads of fun.

Plus I'm sure there are traps which use effects like disintegrate or flesh to stone, which means that we could be out a tank within a single failed saving throw.

I could always just Charm an enemy and we could send him/her/it in first, provivded it fails it's saving throw.

Yeah, or use a summoning spell to whip up some cannon fodder.

Whenever thatguyyaknow decides to start. ;D

I have a suggestion. What if you give each character a 1 raise dead (or resurrection) limit? That way people who want in can still join, if a character dies. Permadeath attacks like disintegrate and being shattered after flesh to stone could affect the LP the same way.

(Of course that might be too much hassle?)

Mages can't use crossbows!!! What is everyones obsession with crossbows?!?!?!?! Only Fighters rangers paladins and bards may use crossbows!
Quarter staves, daggers and missile weapons.
Sorry, but i thought crossbows qualified as missile weapons.

Can i use a bow? If not, can i use a sling?

Hehe actually after sleeping on it I thought that might be the problem.

I may consider the 1 ressurection limit but only if I get a lot of other people who want in, no point otherwise.

As for the first (small) update it is coming right up.

First two videos again.

As the figures pushed their way into the room the light fell full upon them revealling their mis-matched company.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Short stout figure of what could only be a dwarf lead the company, Mortold Galrod an old friend and mentee of Liquid, the druid behind him. Together they had travelled here to the desolate north to fix the growing imbalance they both could sense. With them stood Ines Riverwatcher, a cleric they had met along the way, convinced in her own mind that it must be some great evil that threatened this land she had sworn to help them seek it out. Almost the exact opposite in character from Ines was Aramil, his only reason for joining them was his own steadfast insistance that there was a lot of money to be gained along the way, some of his less than legal methods of obtaining this wealth brought him into conflict not only with Ines but with Rayne Clearpool too. A ranger from mysterious lands, Rayne had a much more down to earth view than Ines but he still would not stand Aramils blatant thievery and worse when it threatened to hurt those who could scarce afford it. Lastly came Endyn At'rany a complete madwoman who had somehow grasped the secrets of necromancy, although wether it was some of the darker areas of it that had driven her into insanity no one could say.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Ignorant of these combined pasts Hrothgar the local peace keeper climbed to his feet and walked over to meet them, an old adventurer he welcomed them to town spotting within their eyes the fire that had once marked his own. After a curt warning not to harm anyone or else face him (Seriously this guy is a tough nut to crack, plus we need him to proceed) he told them a little of town. He finished the conversation with a invitation to his house to discuss business of some type.

One short conversation with the tavern owner revealed that she was currently suffering a slight bug problem, and as such was afraid to go into the cellar to get any booze. Mutter that he had not come this far north the balance out the local bug population Mortold returned to the group to inform them of the problem. Whilst thinking it through they decided to go to the shop next door where they could purchase some real weapons and armour.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Pomab the shopkeeper turned out to be a complete ass with ilusions of granduer, whilst the rest of the group cluttered up the shop Aramil alipped upstairs, when he returned his backpack was somewhat heavier, with goods he was sure he could easily sell back to Pomab without the fool realising they were his own.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Alll righty this is as much as I've done, few questions:
Should we take the bug killing quest? (Really easy exp)
What should I do with the scrolls? Both the mages could attempt to write magic with chromatic orb (learns the spell so you can memorise and cast it) Arimil could do the same with sleep but as a necromancer Endyn can't. Both of you could keep both of the scrolls to read and cast the spell once when you most need it. Lastly I could sell them for a bitof extra money. I wouldn't advise the last option though.

I'll get you all equipped with basic weapons and armour but when I come across unusual weapons/ armour I'll give you choices. In this case we have a high quality dagger, it's basically a normal dagger but it gives you +1 to your THAC0 roll. We can either keep it (And give it to Aramil as he has the proficiency) or sell it.

Everyone starts at 1st Level, right? I think Aramil should equip the dagger, since the only thing weaker than a 1st Level mage is a 1st level mage that's just cast a spell. (Can't remember where I read that, but it was funny. And true.)

I remember Chromatic Orb, though - at higher levels, it gets deadly.

Huh? I think they changed a few things, I only installed the expansion after making the first post, back then at the 12th level it would kill you if you failed your saving. Now its description only goes up to the 9th level where it paralyzes. And yeep you're all first levels.

Also Akroma, the party is full but you could stake a claim to be the first new person in when I replace a dead person instead of ressurecting.

I remember it was basically an easier to save flesh to stone, making it instant death for lower level creatures. I suppose they fixed that in the expansion. However, paralysis is still a pretty nifty effect, since it'd allow the warriors to move in for the kill.
