Which, inadvertantly, makes you blind from all of the radiation they pick up.

Eyes? Pfft, if they get that much radiation, they're probably close to mutating, hopefully into something that doesn't need eyes to see things. Bats, anyone? It would sure be helpful in the dark underground.

I am not sure why there is a sun underground.
Maybe a new mineral called Cloudinium exists, along with the supar-sekrit mineral Sunshininine

Sunshine would be an underground source of soil that could grow any plant and can be used in crystal glass making.

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.
Just so I remember

Dwarf Heaven wouldn't have a Sun. Think about it, how do you grow Tower Caps? Using an underground river. How do you grow Plump Helmets? Using an underground farm. Only Elves and Humans grow craps above-ground, where there's Sunlight.

It isnt true sunlight, but a stone that emits light that is associated with the sun.

No, it's actually an extremely complicated machine made out of adamantine, magma, kittens, the screams of burning elves and a +Pig Tail sock+ that emits light which makes drunk. It also functions as a toaster.

We need to do an experiment.

We'll build a bridge up against the very end of the world, and see what happens when you close it on party members! Will they be thrown? Or smashed?

There's still a problem though: if we voyage through space, how will we deal with the dreaded GSS and the terrifying Astro-Carp?

Space Magma.

Spagma? Or perhaps Magmace.

He's right, we need space magma.  It's the dwarfy way.  But how do we get space magma?  Its simple.

We need to mine the sun.

Before we can tackle such a dangerous project however, we need to learn how to mine bears.
