Its not much but I have to go to school, Will for sure finish it out afterward though. (Sorry for breaking it into many little posts, I'm not too sure on my computers capabilities to not go down recently.)

When I got here we had but 4 doors available to place, Now we are at over two hundred! However none of the beds I've ordered have been built, Nor the components for the screw pumps to flood, Er, Water our guests. I'll have to look into this grave shortage of woodworkers we seem to have, Meanwhile the masons work frivolously toward our goal of a giant ladder leading up to the gods doorstep. Many are looking tired, and I've heard several of them call me mad, But they'll see the true beauty of it, OR BE THROWN INTO THE MAGMA PIT ITSELF!!! It will take years to complete, And it will take much swet (As long as it isnt mine!) but I vow even the gods will shiver at our might!
I've ordered a huge stockpile to be built and all the doors placed within it. Its gotten so the lazy dwarves wont go out and collect those wonderfully blood soaked items outside our gate anymore. We need more space! The miners complain I've givin them too much work, They say they need more than the four of them to complete these tasks. One of them even complained he was a jewler not a miner, He caught my hammer well enough. I've ordered the three remaining to get back to work or they wouldnt recieve beds and food rations for a while.

The human guild representative has recovered his composure enough to sit down and have a meeting. I think just sitting umongst the dwarves who killed his people has scared the shit outta him, And I dont know if his resolve can last him through this.

I'd love to know where everyones finding jobs that are keeping them away from my tasks. We have 90 dwarves who have not been idle since i've taken over and its IMPOSSIBLE to get anything done, If i hadnt made the promis to my wife and kids to charge through this and keep going I'd have flooded the whole fortress with magma long ago.

The human merchants have announced they are going to depart, I've stationed a dwarf near the lever in preperation for this event.
10th Galena, 209.
They still have not left, The lever puller got bored and started switching it on and off randomly. I'm suprised none of the dwarfs walking through have gotten hurt yet, Meanwhile two of the human guards have been standing on the spikes all this time, After about 30 pulls one of them is perfectly fine while the other just has two broken legs.

It seems I found a bunch of our workers lining the fortress walls betting on when the soldier would die, And I only found this after a loud cheering and a few moans, It seems someone has won ALOT from the death today, I dont know how this will affect relations but I dont care right now, Work is going slow enough.

I have completed one of the tasks left to me by one of the old leaders of the place. I have completed the irrigation system. I will order the flood-gates closed again and will let it drain off from there. I may have mis-judged because it seems theres no where for the water to go once its done. Thought clothing flows through and this could be a good way to re-claim items.
