Is there a way to know how many turns an adventurer can spend drowning before he dies?
If you start hearing this, you're almost out of time.

Hehe, well, there's only so many items of clothing you can throw...

Not when you accidentally mod in fifty grabbable fingers that come with iron shields. Was crazy.

Couldn't you just walk over to the edge and attack the beast above?  You can attack up and downwards too.

they usually don't stand directly beside the edge.

Why?  They don't want to kill you with their teeth or claws?

If you are drowning and your swimming skill increases, do you stop?

Also, if you are drowning because there is at least 1 Z-level of water above you, you can apparently press Alt+5 to move up. Didn't find that out until it was too late.

He he he.  Yeah, it almost looks done...  alas...  those who are in your teens, hold on until your twenties...  those in your twenties, your thirties...  others, cling to life as you are able...
It should be pretty fun though.
