Floodgates are buildings and will be destroyed.

Walls are constructions and are indestructible.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

First, there are two types. Some just go after doors and statues and such, others go after "buildings" also.

But nothing built with the <b, C> menu is ever bothered by Building Destroyers.

How about a bridge that has been retracted? Or a bridge that is down and allows pathing to dwarves or other destroyable objects?

Was the bridge built with <b, C>? No? THEN IF THE BD CAN REACH IT, IT'S VULNERABLE!  (to type 2 only.)

Have you experienced this for yourself? A retracted bridge appears to be gone.

I also find it amusing that my fort is immune to megabeasts since the only way in is through a bridge over a pit. If it destroys that it will be stranded outside.

A retracted bridge should be immune, but i put channels under my bridges all the same just to make sure that when i lift them the bastards can't get through.

I've seen raised bridges melted by dragonfire, but they seem to be immune to everything else. And the dragonfire required a dwarf on the wrong side to be dragoned at.
