I suppose shopkeepers often have improvised weapons to hand.  She would be even more deadly if NPCs could throw...

If you don't already hate Elves:

*They're jerks to you when you cut down trees
*They sneak instead of making a real fight
*They're cannibals
*They trade tons of useless junk
*They get angry at you if you trade them ANY wood (even theirs)
*They all migrate after you enter a forest retreat, making their quests incompletable
*They smoke rope reed
