Pevo Amaticeca Icamoneloa
« on: August 11, 2009, 11:26:11 am »

Pevo Amaticeca Icamonelo. "Pevo Crazeraven the Beloved Pass".
Elf, Female.
Death by: Upper body collapsed into a lump of gore.  Instant kill.
Murder weapon: Elf bone crown.

Seriously.  I started up an Elf character to cause some general havoc with the humans.  I pick a bow for use as my main weapon.  Northeast... northeast... ahah, here we are.  I go into the town and take a step west, the man in charge screams about the 3 people he's killed and threatens me.  I swing at him with my bow and he hightails it out of there.  Sneaking, I leave and go from house to house, inserting arrows in the men, women, and children, 6 kills in all.

I enter another building, a shop!  The shopkeeper is right there... hasn't noticed me...
I draw back and release, the arrow flies through the air and hits the shopkeeper!  Alright!
And... the shopkeeper hasn't noticed me yet?  Again, I launch an arrow out and again it's a hit.
All of a sudden the shopkeep launches out a scream about who they are, and rushes over.
An elf bone crown was the last I ever saw...

I'm curious, does this count as irony?

EDIT:
I just looked up the shopkeeper.  She has 91 kills, including my character, and all are elves.

And we were hypothesising about the sexual relations between elves and trees.

Ofcourse that Shopkeeper has 91 elf kills, if he (or anyone else for that matter) didn't, why, it would be HORRIBLE.

On the contrary a wee bit of silver banishes or kills anything supernatural in nature, if that doesn't work a little Vorpal should work...

I play elves just because it's easy to level them, just get a good weapon, jump in a river, and hack away at all the friendly fish...

Yes, it happens quite a bit - that supposedly easy to kill mason/ shopkeep turns out to be, in fact, a veteran of 25 random elf sieges (in which the elves invariably take massive casualties and inflict little to no harm on the people they're attacking).  It was even worse when the spear master turned out to be a veteran of the Elven Wars, and he killed me just for attacking his elf slave.  We had over 200 elf kills between us.

It's because they eat the dead bodies of their victims.

umm. no. It's because they're poncy tree-loving bastards. The corpse eating is kinda cool.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.
Unfortunately dying involves the amputation of the entire body from the dwarf.

Ponceth Borgelheim, Elven Diplomat: "According to my impeccable notes, you have VICIOUSLY SLAUGHTERED Twelve Kelt worth of trees, this year alone!

Urist: "Aye."

Ponceth Borgelheim: "So if we could have a little of your time to get this miniscule problem out of the way, we could go back to our old ways. If not, you will have the great elven armies bearing down upon you to end your short Dwarven lives.

I like elves.
But when you're playing with a bunch of different elves, most of whom hate each other, it's a lot more fun.

Don't worry, you have the Eldar! On the plus side, they're not tree-hugging faggos. On the minus side, they hate you!

And the TVtropes spiral starts again...

You know, you really should post that shopkeeper's kill list, it would be pretty epic.
