Easy way to train wrestling?
« on: August 08, 2009, 02:09:16 pm »

I want to get my wrestling skill higher(for the latent effects, I actually fight with a sword) but it seems a pain to do. Each turn I have to hit Shift+A, select the body part to grab, what limb to grab it with, then actually do the move. Is there any way to make my character wrestle automatically?

If you place a chokehold it will automatically strangle.

Find a zombie. Break its arms (or whatever it's hitting you with). Strangle it until you get tired, then walk in circles until you are not tired. Continue strangling until you are a FRACKING EPICULAR wrestler.

Then murder elves!

I set combat to close, then attacking as normal, all that happens is this:

You grab the monster with your right hand.
You release the monster with your right hand.
You grab the monster with your right hand.
You release the monster with your right hand
You grab the monster with your right hand.
You release the monster with your right hand.
You grab the monster with your right hand.

etc...

yeah, it still gains you exp for every grab, and the creature won't die so you can do it indefinately. Just hold in the direction of the creature and wait till you're tired.

You'll have to break the hold if you starts to strangle (assuming you haven't bothered to find a zombie creature) but apart from that yeah, infinite wrestling xp.

After reading the log on this way of wrestling, it seems like the wrestler jumps on the animal and starts to pull itself around, like a Macho moon orbiting a small, furry planet.

When I ever try doing wrestling, it turns into a surgery.
You slice open the elf with your +Adamantine Longsword+
You take out the elven kidney
You place it in the dog bone bucket
You take out the elven bowels
etc...

Potentially sigworthy.

You can actually strangle enemies with your weapon, apparently. Or your shield.

Which makes it pretty funny when you're strangling some wolf with your +Iron Longsword+ and it bleeds to death, just like it should.
