Sorry, but been really busy catching up with schoolwork. If that's the current plan I'm all for it. Also I seem to have deleted my Battleship ship creator, so my dream ship shall remain a dream.
That's a familiar story. I mostly was plowing ahead with this when I was sick home (might've been the flu, might've just been a hardcore cold), and then you've probably noticed it slowing down as I get busy.
I don't see why you can't redownload the ship creator though- it takes... what, less than 60 seconds I'm sure. Unless you deleted the ship you've been working on for ages. And I'm always happy to do the brunt of the designing for you, if you're willing to give an idea of what you're looking for.
Red sat at the big table in the Mauler's conference room. He was waiting for Sensei- he, and everybody else (save RAM, who said he was having some shrapnel wounds tended to). But Red was
really waiting for Sensei, while about him SHADOWdump and CJ discussed how much they'd hurt Wil Wheaton when they found him again, and Zchris pondered how to utilize empty grape soda cans for military purposes. It was a while before Sensei returned. The crew was supposed to have finished deciding what to do, but he was a notorious bathroom reader.
"I've been thinking." Red spoke loudly so the whole room would pay attention. "While the Doom Moon and all this heavy business is important, I guess... whatever happened to Ed? We've got to manage our assets."
"It has been a while." Sensei replied.
"I think we should head over there. We'll see Von in a bit, but... I reckon it's been a while since we've done Ed any favors. Plus, I've got an old bone to pick..."
Shadowdump spoke up. "Why don't we seen Von first? Science is AWESOME." He let off a few spurts from his miniature, wrist flamethrower- it was similar to the large one, only twenty times more dangerous. Nonetheless, he's been using for everything from cooking to practical jokes.
"Oh come on. I've got a little message for Redd- just let me do my thing." Red looked for a sign from Sensei- he got a nod.
"Eh, watch yourself." Shadowdump cautioned matter-of-factly, to the room at large. He had set a slick -not even a puddle, just a stain- of grape soda on fire. In a moment the fire detector was blaring and jets of foam emitted from various places in the walls and ceiling. "You know... I've gotta go back to my ship. Important stuff." He slipped away while everyone was still glaring. A large foam deposit was forming on one top of Zchris' head.
The meeting was over.
--------------------LATER--------------------
As soon as the fleet had crossed the ion corridor, Red opened up his radio. The commotion aboard the bridge went faint at a hand wave. He stared out into space, as if he might stare his foe in the eyes if he found him in the ever changing chaos of the outer asteroid belt. He spoke coolly. "Hey Redd. Yeah you, Double Dee."
Redd was gruff, uncultured. You could guess at his girth -surely he had no fear of the chicken bucket- from his voice, which sounded throughout the room. Anyone in earshot could also easily pick up that he had far less taste for the conversation at hand.
"I thought I did you in, one eye.""Actually, I got surgery for that."
"Hah! Red two-eyes. Ain't that fearsome.""You'll believe it is when they're lookin' at ya. You made a bad move double crossing me, you know."
"Bad move! I've got the whole gang. And you're, what in the dirt? Space dust?""I know you have trouble with words, so I'll make it quick. I want you to meet me at Ed's. To settle this."
"I don't take it 'at you're looking to take back your champion Tacticus title.""A duel. No cheating this time, because I've got some new friends who aren't into your payroll."
"Eh, and why should I even come? I don't have time for punks.""Because I'm telling everybody. I'm saying that you can't win a fair fight- not with swords, not at the helm, and not at Tacticus either. Loudly. And you know what happens when you get all your power from sitting on the shoulders of people who just want your money, and know you're a coward." He shifted in his seat while he paused. "And I want my name back."
At another wave of his hand, the channel closed.
