If somebody has to stop playing for some reason, you're next on the roster.

Update will be soon- I need to finish making the capitol ship.



In the meantime:

You decide to keep the prisoner. Sensei tells you that the capitol ship is almost ready to launch.
The first order of business: Resources. You need more of them. It doesn't matter whether it comes from credits or blown up ships, you ought to get some. You have no contacts for smuggling. You may try to raid a supply convoy, but you don't know where to find one.

Suggested options:
* Question the prisoner
* Explore (where)
* Attempt to return the prisoner for a ransom
* Kill something (because you're a space pirate, you get to burn, THEN pillage! Awesome!)

You are not required to choose from this list. Discuss your next action. You will be able to upgrade your ships later, in fact you normally get some upgrades upon looting. However due to the damage sustained to your general infrastructure during the mutiny (IE, before you started) all the loot this time was used for repairs.

Sensei pilots his newly repaired and rearmed ship, the Mauler, from the station. You may now warp jump at any time. Warp takes 60 seconds to charge and you must be close to the Mauler to be within the warp bubble. Beware, enemies may hitch along for the ride.

You question the prisoner. You learn nothing of a mole- apparently, he is a Captain, first class. Potentially valuable (he is quick to note), but not well versed in covert intelligence. Most of his navigational computers were destroyed, but he did have on him a memory chip with a map that denoted high-risk trade routes. His mission was to protect these areas, which your gang had been a major threat to (you already knew this).

Also prior knowledge: The DRM are just an anti-pirate branch of the Tribunal law enforcement system, similar to SWAT. They are an arm, and only one arm, of the Tribunal. Tribunal has a military, but they don't use it for much other than defense- their police are generally far more experienced at combating the criminal underworld than anything else. Organized pirates that run non-tribunal territory are usually left alone if they aren't a threat.


Red = Dangerous (read: easy to raid) trade routes. DRM protection has been increasing here, however.

Do we really want to try a planetary assault yet? I'd think the local militia would beat us badly, even with the Mauler.

Voting to explore the trade route from T-VI into unknown reaches. Let's see what's at the end of it, and maybe we can make enough money pirating along the way to afford some new gear.




On second thought, T-VI looks like an asteroid... If so, raid it, and hope they don't have defense stations.

**PRIOR KNOWLEDGE NEWS BULLETIN**

Anything connected to a major trade route that has a name is likely to be well defended, and even a successful attack would make you a national threat to the Tribunal (not worth it, probably).

Unless you're out to conquer the galaxy, I suggest you use 'roid bases as places to trade without too many cops on your back. You could also try to establish some fences, or stalk any potentially lucrative convoys out. For all intents and purposes, think of the asteroid posts as frontier towns. You're going to need more firepower to take one.
