Suggestion:
 2 groups: Cargo, Decoy.
  Cargo: Mauler, point defence.
   Wait for passage.
   Observe unscanned region.
   Clear passage through fixed defences.
   Proceed to landing zone.
   Divert power from weapons to propulsion and defences.
   Depart from landing zone at 18.6 hours from commencement.
   Withdraw from planet at flank speed via original passage.
  Decoy: Faster than heavy hostiles.
   Approach hostiles.
   Engage communications.
   Attack light hostiles to inflict casualties.
   Withdraw from heavy hostiles to create passage.
   Continue until Cargo makes contact with fixed defences.
   Withdraw from region.
   Return in 18.6 hours from commencement and repeat operation.

Retreating sounds good right about now. If that doesn't pass, I'll go along with the others in their attack. Either way, I'm loading all the grape soda I can into the escape pods.

Er - if it does get started up again, I'd like to apply for a ship...
I just plan for what the ship is and what it does in battle, right? So I'd just post "my ship goes here and tries to blow this dude up" or whatnot?

Mostly you ask for stuff to get added to your ship, while Sensei(or the new captain) actually controls everything. we can put in suggestions like you've seen but it is all dependant upon the limits of the game.
