Just some machinegun turrets.

Anyway, the damn megabeam never fired at all. It was supposed to take out TheNewerMartianEmperor (who has been absent for many pages), but it didn't.

As for making a movie? Yeah, that would have been 9001 times more efficient. But, I lack a good capture tool (and I hate fraps), not to mention I'd like to avoid video editing, for the sole reason that I'm already learning a lot of computer things at any given time.

i want to take all parts of the megabeam and attempt to make a high power beam on my ship.

Long range is the only way to go :)

I attempt to have Wil Wheaton (due to the absence of Welshy) build a Particle Beam Cannon. This will use the particles of Wil Wheaton for ammo, obviously.

Okay, I'll be a survivor of a random pirate group that saw you guys own the Doom Moon, and would like to join. As for the ship, I originally wanted Ugly Duckling but now I'm thinking a tanklike ship. (Fairly heavy armor, possible light point defenses, slow, with center turret that does good damage with slow RoF)

I tried making a sprite in Paint, any idea how I can get it to be compatible? The weird thing is that I made one that works, but it didn't at first, and now I have no idea how I got it to work, but I think it may have involved changing the grey colour I was using, but that hasn't helped...
Symptoms: If I drag it onto the ship maker nothing happens. If I load it via menus it give an error message saying that it is incompatible, probably unrecognised file format...

Rofl I figured it out, Paint saves .PNGs capitalised, I need to change it to .png...

While we are on the subject of new joiners and ships, would this be okay for me?
http://www.wyrdysm.com/battleshipsforever/shipdatabase/uploads/Barrage1C.zip It might be a touch overpowered but hopefully that won't be an issue by the time I get in, and it is probably a touch easy to destroy. I kind of like the advanced technology feel it seems to have but sabot cannons feel overpowered against large ships...

That actually probably needs a bit more awesomeness to keep up with the other ships- I'll pimp it out a bit.

Meanwhile... you are now in an asteroid field. There are some surviving friendly (for now) fighters. What do you do?
