I know Akroma lives in Berlin, but she doesn't come around here much anymore.

I've been looking at the legal issues for getting a residence/work permit for Germany, and it looks like it isn't feasible for this school year.  I can't leave Prague until the end of August, and the school year there starts 1 September.  Ah, well.  I guess I'll just stay in Prague for this year, since I'm sure I can get work here, and I can worry next summer about red tape in Deutschland and finding a job.

Shame, that.  I got really excited about the possibility.

What. They pay for train rides. I waste 10 bucks a week on that crap man.

Only if you're a university student, apparently.  :P

Also, 10 bucks a week? Holy wow. Is that in USD?

cough. I just signed up for a university. Part of the process of signing up is paying 250 € for a semester ticket.

haha, pay for my trainrides, haha

Back to the thread topic, I am German, and lemme tell you, there's absolutely no evidence that the government pays for our train rides. The Deutsche Bahn is no longer owned by the government.

Damn. My German prof has been filling my head with lies. :'(

EDIT: On the other hand, maybe it's only for people with scholarships.

I think I can. Acting like Germany is a bad place due to Hitler is
a) In extremely poor taste (if it was a joke/serious)
b) Ridiculous (if it was serious)
c) Unfunny (if it was a joke)

Well, he's dead and the Nazis don't run Germany. Just remember not to dredge up the past when it doesn't need to be. Also, learn Godwin's law.
