A bit of help.

Well I want to make Hippos, The Most Dangerous thing ever, As i am flooding almost all of my world into a lake, And hippos will surround me everywhere.

So I'm going to change the raws.
If someone could tell me what each and everything does exactly, or link me to a tutorial which does that, I should be fine on my own.

Or simply tell me how to make them breed as fast as cats, and if when i change it, I'll need to make a new world.

Or for a added bonus, tell me how to make them breathe fire. As long as it doesnt require me to regen the world.

http://www.dwarffortresswiki.net/index.php/Creature_token  is the one you want to know.

Deon's goes straight to the creatures, while mine includes items, civs and such. I would suggest Deon's first though.

Would any of the things I want to do require me to regen?

Also if i give them things such as can Civ and such, would i need to regen.

AND. This one is important...
If i change the raws, will it screw up my fortress right now? or cna i still play it fine?

Child takes 1 year to become adult.

Yes i tried looking at that, but i dont understand what it means.

Also in the above post I added a list of Tags.

Would they all work together?

The underswim may make some problems, if you wanted to add that in you may want to add the amphibious tag as well or a nobreathe tag.

Also according to the thread as long as you don't change entity tags you should be fine without having to regen. Just in case you may want to clear your data/objects folder.

Changing raws mid game never causes a crash (although it may cause several different types of FUN). think of a mid-game raw change as the things that _will_ be changed, rather than the things that are.

Ok, I'll take out the underswim.
Any other tags I can add to make them super badass?

Can someone also please tell me where to add these tags?

You can put those tags damn-near anywhere. The computer cares not. (as long as it is within the bounds of that specific creature entry)

However: CAN_CIV will do nothing without an entity with them (why do you want them as a civ?) and new entity requires a regen.
