I assume this is standard, but it's different from the MMO's I'm used to so I have to ask.  When I try to connect it tries to download an update and then stops and says "ERROR: Cannot connect to the server."  That's what everybody is getting right now right?  I'm a bit worried because several programs on my computer have been problematic about connecting to the internet(IE, all my messenger programs, Curse) but it's hard to tell if it's on my end or theirs without knowing where most people stop trying to connect at.  Most of my online games work, but this could be an exception.

"Error: Cannot connect to the server" does appear to be the standard error message.

It's down until Monday. Was kind of disheartened to see that this morning. Though, if it fixes some bugs, I'll be happy.

It's also free at the moment, so I can't really complain.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

So is there an official Bay12 town that I'd be able to join? I'm a woodcutter and Carpenter, but mainly trying to go mage.

I believe we're talking about full scale colonisation here.  You don't just leave all your shit in the van when you move house.

We haven't formed a town yet, but contact Krinlon with /t for a faction invite.

Edit: People keep asking about building a ship, so let's build one tomorrow. I can get the linen easily on my own. I have enough bronze to make the nails, but copper donations would be nice. What we really need is for people to help get 1000 wood to build the ship.

Do you want timber, lumber, or planks?

Planks are the end goal, but I can convert normal wood to planks easily enough.

We only need 750 more wood/lumber/planks.

Read patch notes, looks awesome. Kinda sucks that you can't find stone outside(on mountaintops) anymore.

Also looks like this patch will take awhile to download. Certainly won't be playing tonight.

We're short on linen by one flax run, which there's no real reason not to do myself.
Copper donations would be nice for nails, to conserve bronze, but I don't think bronze is important enough to delay building a boat for if the boat will help us get iron. (Banks do not 'teleport' goods around.)

I'm downloading the update now.  I'd really like to be a mason since I want to build stone buildings, but it seems like carpenters will be more useful for other things, and you guys have quite a few of both anyway.  And is alchemy in yet or was it just on the skill list to show what's planned?

Alchemy was my favorite skill in WoW because I liked how it worked versus the more permanent creations of skills like blacksmithing.  Making potions that provide temporary and interesting bonuses is something I enjoy.

Edit:  Don't know why I asked that when I'll find out soon enough anyway.  But I do wanna know what people think of masonry vs. carpentry.
