I would like to point out that this is not DF 3.0, but DF 0.3.

While I like the way it came out, that took way too long to make for a couple seconds of comics...

Wow, that's awesome!
It might not be state-of.the-art technicaly, but I think you have a good feel of what animation at large is all abaut; you got the feel, the timing, and the ability to capture what things are important.
Also, you are either extremely good at doing things with the most basic tools, or very good at mimicking the feel and look and simplicity of such tools. Thats a good thing by the way.

What Armok said.
That cow entered the animation at exactly the right moment, and really made me laugh  ;D

HOORAY! I Snuck in a gantz abridged reference, now:

Caravan Guards> Spit in the face of storytelling tradition and manage to competently and efficiently dispatch the spider as expected of highly trained soldiers, despite otherwise being faceless and nameless mooks.

I don't see any reason they couldn't be. What would happen if they breached the HFS?

Now you can imagine the MSPA guy's suffering (especially at 3-5 updates a day).

If I wasn't limiting myself to MS paint and Unfreeze (the single most basic gif tool you could use), and used flash/paintshop like the MSPA guy, I imagine I'd be able to cut off maybe 50-70% of the construction time - basically everything about the animation could be sped up, and vectors would allow me to develop the invidual characers a lot quicker. And when this comic ends, and I'm sure you guys will do something that results in a total fortress wipe eventually (thus ending the comic) I will probably swear off MS paint all together. Mostly, anything with layers would be an amazing boost to productivity.

But I started this thing in paint, and damn it, I'm going to finish in paint!

For a brief glimpse into my mind - I'm actually thinking about spending a bit more time on that last one. Every time I look at it, a small flaw in the flow at the beginning makes my brain twitch angrily. I feel the first guy should go maybe 16 pixels further forward over the course of an additional two frames, and then one frame of him falling back to the current loop, in order to mesh better with the entrance of the other two. If I regularly gave into thoughts like this I could spend hours "perfecting" a couple throwaway seconds of animation. :P

Christ, Glyph, you're that motivated to give yourself carpal tunnel?
Really though, that's just hardcore. Even the MSPA guy switched out of MSpaint after the first few panels...

Off-topic forum, folks!

More suggestions... I've got an idea I'm working on now, but a better suggest could easily wipe it away...
