Well, it is set in modern times...

Maybe about 5-10 years into the future, but generally, Bay City is isolated and current events around the world don't affect it much.

It is modern times and the only time it draws upon the futurey reference is when dealing with experimental weapons...

So, keep it modern.

I Thought of something:

The Asimov Building.

Originally built during the 1980's to house the workers of the Niven Corporation, responsible for the vast majority of weapons development for the city's defense department. After the Corporation rose in prestige, they refitted the building to house more and more people, as it was deemed cheaper then building or buying another building to house the sudden influx of workers. The upsurge in the companies fortune was ruined almost immediately when the details of just how they became the favored of the city came to light, and it ended up abandoned, halfway complete. Oddly enough, one of Niven Corp's most brilliant scientists lives in a massive apartment in the higher stories of the building.

So simple, yet we begin to get an idea of how corrupt Bay City is under its posh exterior...

And just how desperately we need the DCI!

So... I'm thinkin' of doing a short experimental run of this...

Just a small 'escape from the crazy chainsaw wielding lunatic' scenario. Mostly just to test the current system.

Anyone up for it?

Sadly, I have to postpone this test until tomorrow, mostly because it’s too late and I need to sleep. Also, I will finalise my HP system, so that should be good.

This is more for the main thing, but-

I say we're the Bay Crew, a bunch of truth-seekers unified by two things only- 1. Our distrust of anyone else and 2. Our dedication to try and out plan and outfight the sickos and bastards both inside and outside city hall.

Our goal- try to survive while figuring out just what the hell is going on in the city.

Friends/allies- We each would work with other organizations as we see fit. Don't often stick with them very long, though.

Our headquarters are located behind a secret door in the labyrinth that is the basements of the Fendchurch housing projects.

Our enemies are anyone who gets in our way, and anyone who goes against us, and any who commit a crime big enough to make it to the news.

What do we do with them? Kill them, it's the only way.

Our agenda- clean up this city, even if it has to be one death at a time. We get along together, barely. We even have one of those "X days without a fight" signs.

But the 0 is painted on, and the paint is peeling.

Anyway. This looks fun! I will certainly try to right up some Bay City areas/people

Well, you see, the thing is, this RPG moves away from skills and rolls and more towards the players own intelligence. If you can think of it and you can do it in real life... then you should be able to do in this game.

I'll post the health system as soon as I get back from athletics.
