Death Cult
« on: August 04, 2009, 12:48:01 am »

I don't usually do a lot of adventurer mode, but I recently embarked on a couple adventures... first guy was torn to pieces by a pair of lions. The second is kicking some ass, no doubt partially due to the masterwork iron armor he took from the cooling corpse of an orc axe lord (killed him in his sleep).

I'm wandering all across the land, and I've found a town that Worships death. Pretty creepy actually. 'Servant of death' this and 'give yourself to death' that. Fittingly enough, all the history I get when I inquire about family and stuff seems to be death or kill events.

Not, to give them their wish and try to off the entire town... that is the question.

Oh, wait, that's right! I had a question. How freaking long does it take before you can get people to join you? All the bowman and axe men I ask keep blowing me off, though I must be some kind of legend by now.

Do quests to get more "fame" so people will join you. You also need to have high enough skills.

Quests, roger. Now, if I could just find one town where they aren't "quite untroubled."

How high, with the skills? Ballpark?

Get legendary throwing and swimming, you'll never give it a thought again. Take ya 30-60 minutes depending on how efficiently you have your bindings set up. It's worth it, altogether.

Urist McMayor: "Life is, in a word, death."
Urist McAdventurer: "It is? Well, then you won't mind if I-"
Urist McMayor has been struck down.

Nah,

Kill every other civilization instead. An empty world.. The only inhabitants worship death.. Beautifully Ironic.

"Life is, in a word, death."

This make no sense, when you think about it. there's a word for this type of phrase, but I can't remember what it is. :-\

[EDIT] whoops, sorry about the necro. forgot I was on page 7. :-[

You're looking for Paradox, methinks.

That was... an epic necro. Wow.

Yeah, Paradox is it. Although seriously, they say things like that. Like "When you wake up in the morning, consider pain."

An oxymoron is a pair of contradictory words that form one term, like "Jumbo Shrimp". A paradox is a contradictory statement. A double negative is... just bad grammar.

Although in adventurer mode, you either wake up with a sword in your skull or with a sword in your hand.
What follows is either death to you or death to EVERYONE ELSE.
