I'm glad there is so much sentimental value held in what is essentially 4chan.
Save what you can, before it's too late!

Yes, Lord knows we have to save the quote pyramids before they vanish in a puff of smoke.

Not all of 4chan is terrible.  /tg/ is okay, and /x/ is okay if you can get over the people who believe everything anyone says and get mad if you're even kind of skeptical.

Please? The VN existed long before what we now think of as the VN happened, and some of the alod stuff realy does have a great personal value to me. Of the top of the head I can point to the exanges betwen me and fenrir, but there are plenty of other things.
Please, I know other peaple might not feel as strongly for it as I do but I am unable to do anything abaut it, if the VN is destroyed it's the eivelehnt of seeing you childhood toys burned, they might have been usless crap but it's still a horible thing!

/tg/  is remarkably hostile compared to the rest of the internet. It's only tame compared to, say, /b/.

I don't want to sound like a jackass (though I know I'm going to), but if whatever junk is in the bottom of VN is somehow that important to you, but even you can't be bothered to archive something, then what makes you think anyone else is going to do it for you?

If there was some glorious thread of all encompassing timeless humor worth the effort to find again, don't you think people would be linking to it or something anyway?  Let me put this way - when I'm out with my friends, we tell a lot of great jokes and have hilarious conversations.  I don't carry a tape recorder to keep an archive of them, because when you're not there in the first place, it doesn't mean anything later.

Yes, your precious old board full of inanity and roleplaying is about to disappear.  Let it go, if it meant that much to you, you'd have already a way to save it regardless of deletion.

Really?  Maybe I just haven't been there long enough.  Other than the edition wars and the nerdwanking it seems pretty chill compared to other places I've been.

Ironically you took a good part in the nonsense.

Ah well...

I pretty much have about 1/33 of the forum backed up.

I was, in fact, referring to the nerdwanking, yes, so maybe my perspective is off.

Well, it is the source of some fairly funny memes.

*sighs*

I managed to save the epic post by Viaolis.
Yes. The Charter. Its a great piece of history. The declaration of independence started the end of VN
Then as a finisher we have yuri, anti-yuri, the war between the holy chin and ministry. I might print it and tape it to a wall or something. That post was pure epicness.

The rest is pure trash
