Given that wizards don't actually cast any spells unless they really, really need to, I reckon you'd be safe making them a caste of humans in the next release.

Don't forget to add a Sapient Pearwood tree!

Is it possible to create creatures out of reactions?  If so, the Luggage would probably work well if you made it a VERMIN_HUNTER (so it kills stuff and adopts someone) and if you make it extremely powerful.

Wouldn't that be pulling it kicking and screaming out of the Century of the Fruitbat? :P

Nobody wants to just lead it by the hand...

Anyway, I think this is an awesome idea, but it's Discworld, not Diskworld. This is a blasphemy!

You might want different civs for different areas, I imagine that the Omnians would behave quite differently from Ankh Morpork...

It's too bad we can't have civ ethics change yet.

Whilst I'm not going to, I'd just like to point out that that's very, very siggable.

Christ, are you dwarves or are you elves? If you think Hell has too many demons, then you kill them till the population reaches an acceptable number.

needs for this mod:  Dwarf bread, a preference for eating rats (with ketchup), and tallow and treacle layers (as in the fifth elephant)--the last should be possible since the next update will allow processing rock layers to be edible.  Bonus points for do-it-yourself clacks.  Ideally axels would provide power like a waterwheel, but wherever they were "built."  probably not doable

Dwarf bread mighto be a metal made in a Dwarven Culinary Forge.

We'll need small rats or normal rats for rat meat, but that'd be all.
Tallow and treacle might be ok to do. Probably via another psuedoforge reaction in the new version. I guess Culinary Forges could be universal.

Clacks are a little more difficult. Simplest way to do it would be gem windows with dark and light gems.

I see a small problem in troll or gollem civs. In series is (almost) every entity of these races completely unique (material and shape).

Well, when the new update comes out a lot of this would be possible.
