lol the first time i played adventure mode..... i spawned....traveled east.........was mauled by antmen and ratmen. didnt even last a minute.

Same happened to me, only it was west, and just antmen.

I lasted exactly 14 seconds.

Just long enough to run up to the nearest person and kick him in the shins. The person was a hammerlord.

























I was shot and killed by an archer before the hammerlord could even ask what I was doing.

I shot and killed a lion. Then needing a place to sleep, found 12 elves resting on a nice patch of different colored ground.
Woke up to find the lot of us drowning.

Spent forever figuring out how to do things, talked to the mayor about a quest, traveled, found the quest area, and got owned by the human undead horde that lived in the ruin.

30 minutes of research and experimentation with buttons, about 5 minutes of actually playing.

Killed some antmen, giant bats and troglodytes
Had my head torn off by a cyclops

I was blinded by wolves then bled to death. I also always attack mayors these days if they dare say they are untroubled.

A better alternative to attacking mayors that say they are untroubled is to murder a townsperson and flee to a different nation, and retire. Your next adventurer will be given a quest from the mayor to kill your previous one. Retire that adventurer and the leader of your first adventurer's retirement home will give you a quest ad infinitum (albeit a very bloody infinitum)

You can also create your own quests another way.

1) Create adventurer
2) Travel
3) Get killed by a Scorpion during an ambush

Mayors in the area will ask your next adventurer to take out the Scorpion/Cougar/Wolf/Whatever. At least that's what happened to me.

Started, got some adventurers, killed wolves, killed a few semi mega beasts untill I got ambushed by 3 cyclopses, it was fun but all I did was watch my men kill for me, then get raped by skeletal wolves. Now I play as a demon and can't move out of the starting spot because the never ending hordes of wolves.

I and my intrepid team of humans were horribly killed by a cyclops.  Even legendary throwing didn't save me.
