Need some help with R:TW-BI

Alright, because steam lacks a manual for Rome:TW-BI, and the advisors are no help and annoy me endlessly... All I need to know is, how the heck do i change my factions religion?

Last I remember, Rome: Total War didn't track religions as a statistic, you just got the bonuses from temples and shrines. I don't know about Barbarian Invasion, though.

Excuse me if I'm mistaken.

BI adds religions as an actual mechanic.

The only way I can think of is have priests from other religions have free reign to wander around your territory until faction members of that religions start being born.
