I'll wait about a year or so. Not too keen on several games (primarily Men of War) not functioning on my system. I can survive without Directx 10 or 11.

I don't have the patience to switch OSes repeatedly.

Yeah, Windows 7 looks good.  Never got Vista due to the security issues and the fact that I am fine with my XP though.

What's the different between the... Ultimate and Home version anyway? What's the retail price gonna be?
I did some research on this when deciding whether to get Ultimate or save some money and get Home. Apparently there's craploads of stuff that Home users can't do. Home artificially limits the amount of RAM the PC can use. Home is around 4 gigs. Ultimate is over a hundred.

Microsoft is evil, everything they ever do will always be crap by definition independently of it's actual merits and utility.
Information wants to be free!

Bill gates donated over $30 (I think it's over $40 but I'm not sure. So I went with the statistic that I know is correct.) billion dollars to charity. That's right. Over 30,000,000,000 US dollars to charity. You could buy 50,083,472.5 PS3 at launch day for that kind of money.

How is that in any way evil?

A) When you have as much money as he has that is meaningless, it's the equivalent of you giving a penny to charity because it impacts your lifestyle in no real way.
B) why has he got such ridiculous amounts if money anyway, if he makes so much he can afford to massively reduce the price of any windows OS.
A + B = Him using other peoples money to make himself look good.

Lowering the price of goods because he already has money despite Demand? You know how Capitalism works, right?

 Also:
Gates has a current Net Worth of around 40 billion.
He has donated at least 28 billion to charity.
More than half your net worth ain't pennies.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

It's all in the kernel.
XP was when the NT kernel got full support of games from the 9x kernel with the stability of the NT line.

I think that vista at least massively edited the kernel, if not uses an entirely new one.
How much of the windows 7 kernel is vista's?

It's spelled Colonel, and I don't see how the military has to do with computers.

... You really don't know what a kernel is?

Why it's the part of the OS that DIRECTLY interfaces with the hardware, so regular programs don't have to!

How could you mistake something so essential to computers with some dumb military role?
