How have civs not been mentioned yet (or at least the first post hasn't been updated with it; I didn't read this whole thing)? There should be underwater and amphibious civilizations. There should also be a specialized two-story trade depot with the top above water and the bottom underwater. Alternately, you could just flood a regular trade depot to 4/7.

As long as we're talking about tornadoes, I suggest waterspouts.

I'll get around to putting in waterspouts, but civilizations (aside from remnants) could use their own thread as opposed to one about the creatures and topography of the depths. (and streams and the like, but that didn't sound as cool.)

More odd weather, watery creatures, or the like?

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but i heard that sometime when there is a hurricane or a water spout, they suck up the fish, and they get carried inland, and you end up with raining fish.

If you are looking to add more water megabeasts, there is Charybdis and Scylla of Greek legend, as well as Yacumama from South America myth. Throw in some giant crabs too for the lulz.

Charybdis was essentially a giant mouth/whirlypool, so that could be interesting. ((Anything it touches disappears forever!? Sweet living garbage dumps!))

Scylla having 6 heads, 6 dog heads, and a total of 24 rows of teeth (6 of them canine) would make for one hell of a fight.

Will add these tomorrow.

I'd like to see brooks generate from aquifers intersecting the surface, instead of that weird beginning spread of tiles.  It would be pretty neat to have springs which continue on as underground streams, eventually reaching an aquifer.

Would it be possible to take all similar threads ex.) Mechanical Suggestions and put them all in one single grand thread which is stickied?  I might do that today if it would get stickied.

Many suggestions have links to them in the eternal suggestion voting thing.  :)

Whoa, laziness trip over.

Adding Scylla and Charybdis. (finally)

Also, I am now prompting a discussion on brooks coming from aquifers.

I'd rather see aquifers fixed so that stone layers are permeable to a certain amount/flowrate of water, such the 'brooks coming from aquifers' becomes 'underground rivers come above ground at points'
