Well, in the "months in the past" update, the posters are already defaced, whatever that means.  And John's exhibited some peculiar reactions to certain situations, such as when the Vagabond was texting commands into his head.  Not to mention his off-the-wall response to Rose's statement.

Mental instability would be the obvious conclusion, but I hardly think it's as simple as that.

Or his dad pranking him. Although I somehow feel it's rather beneath him, prankster that he is.

John - Voices in his head.
Jade - Voices in her head.
Dave - Let's Bro beat on him and likes it.  (sorta)
Rose - Shy and intellectual.

I think Dave is more abused by his brother and this makes him unstable.
Jade has precognitive abilities, which could be seen as being mentally ill.
John appears to be utterly unwilling to accept certain things, to the point of throwing a fit.

I'm not sure voices in head count, since the WV is communing with them via technology and everything we suggest is taken as their idea, I believe.

That was the Wayward Vagabond. His manner of speaking is making it apparent to John that he's not actually thinking up the foolish things he's doing. It's not him going crazy, it's just that only a little time passed between him arriving and the Wayward Vagabond starting to dick around with him.

So how does John recieves this messages from Wayward Vagabond?  Does whatever he type just command John for whatever reason?  Or the THE FUTURE IN JOHN'S HEAD??

Come to think of it, any idea what any of the pesterchum names might mean? Rose recently discovered an ectobiology lab, and John is called EctoBiologist, but that's all I can think of.
