I'm always confused by theories that revolve heavily around aspects because they've received very little emphasis in the comic.

It's not so much that there are 20 aspects, but rather that "our" session has 20 players:

You should probably not inquire further; this is madness.

This is what happens when we randomly murder people.

You get attacked by a Yandere triangle monster.

Madness it is. I see no evidence for your claim on the linked page.

your house of cards is founded upon naught but supposition and needless complexity. occam's razor finds itself blunted upon the tangle of threads you have brought it.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

number of lines in ==> (each = counts as two) is number of members in the session

thus act 5 act 1 having ======> instead of ==> and act 6 act 6 having ====> instead

Ohhh, fair enough. I'll be amazed if it's ever relevant or addressed, but fair enough.

Okay but the very next page has an arrow that's twice as long again, with 40 lines total. What if Hussie was just messing with the formatting while making a meta joke?

40 members correspond to a squiddles session, actually, since that's the number of squiddles. I think. Has been a long time since it was relevant.

EDIT: Also, 24 hours remaining.

Hussie said the squiddle session was 48 players, actually. So in addition to 20 and 40, we've got a third number to figure out the significance of.

Well you may find refuge in the fact that I thought that, too; I checked the site before posting that message, to be sure.

Damn guess it's time to come up with 36 additional aspects.

Apparently, the update is happening midnight?

Spread the word! The end is nigh!

Ah ah, the update is likely happening midnight. It's also likely happening at 1:00 PM EDT tomorrow.

I'm obviously staying up until 9:00 PDT though lol.

An hour twelve minutes, actually. EDT, so GMT-4.
