Weirdly enough, this reminds me of some theory I read a while ago.

Now a different Tavros has both GCat and is in near proximity to Jade, while this one has Vriska's crew.  Still doesn't look like he's going to go Hook Mode though.

Karkat was a shitty leader, all things considered. And Kankri was a joke. Thus, Blood is a shitty leadership element.

Breath, on the other hand... John has become a leader without even trying and, well, the leadership powers of fully realized Tavros have been made obvious in this update.
