Remember, too, that this is not timeline-changing stuff. John's powers can retroactively alter the Furthest Ring, because it's still ordinary continuity. The Retcon powers basically move the Weird Time Shit up one level of abstraction from the usual time travel.

The event might not repeat itself, but it might be altered.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

A general reminder to the shippers: John and Roxy haven't known each other for even a full day. It would be a little rushed if stuff started happening.

Also: In the timeline where LOWAS exploded, the LOWAS John and Roxy are on is going to be placed there/are already there, and Timeline-Native (Not the one with John.) Roxy will probably be killed by a game construct (Likely Nix.), seeing as to the context her choice was made.

I have a feeling the timeline where LOWAS will end up will have already had the GrimBark-CrockerTier'ening happen, but Roxy would have been dead for months and John for three years.
Heh. As if that would stop them. :P

Speaking of shipping, I decided to search for different pairings and recording the number of things fics (too. many. pictures.) made about it in some way (just 'cause), and I think I'll post the human ones below.
*Puts on Shipping Science gloves.*

Not a good representation of the fanbase by any means, but it offers some interesting data as to the popularity of differing pairings, going by the assumption that, on average, a more popular pairing will have a larger number of fics written about it, just.
Huh. I'ma make a graph of this later.
Dear god there are a lot of pairings. and sites. and fics.

Not surprised. Not surprised at all. Actually, the only thing I'm surprised by is the lack of Dave/Dave fics. The only way to get up to 100% more Dave per Dave~!

I actually didn't search for self-pairings, because Google did not like it. I'll go search on AoOO manually and report back in a bit.

Also, AoOO's relationship tags were a godsend in this. Just saying.

You also forgot ancestors. You have dancestors, but not ancestors.

So, Grandma Egbert, Bro Strider, Mom Lalonde, Grandpa Harley, Grandpa English, uh... Bro Strider Redux, uh... and the other two, whoever they were, I forget.

I always wondered why Rose/Dave outstripped John/Jade 4 to 1.
