You know, when I started to reread the Homestuck, the first thing that really makes it different from the second half is how easily the main heroes are controllable. Be it by narrator, the player, or even exiles with command stations. They don't even seem to consider that anomalous. Sometimes, I even wonder if they're actually aware of the world around them.

In contrast, the heroes in the second half are much more... independent? Seriously, the difference is gigantic.

EDIT; Found a funny parallel between the John beatdown of Caliborn and the Jake beatdown of Meenah.

I think Hussie is/was at a con today, so that may be why the update is late.

Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

I wonder...Daylight Savings Time ends tomorrow, meaning the clocks will run 1 hour back.  As it happens at midnight, it, technically, briefly becomes today again.  Wonder if he is going to update then?

Yeah, that sounds like something Hussie would do.

* Arcvasti handcuffs himself to his computer and begins mashing F5 until the update happens anyways

I'm getting nothing but the error when I refresh now.

I believe it's caused by the large number of people hitting f5 waiting for the update.

The website is working again.

Edit: I feel like Caliborn's last act is going to actually be good, or at least nice-looking. Either that, or it's going to be the most awful thing he's made.

Confirmed, assuming his time zone is mine.

Huh.
Well, it's updated for sure now.
Caliborn has a lot of... "money" now.
