That's a symbol in its own.

Anyway, so void is more or so a shadow to space than it is a negative symbol. Rather fitting.

And on the subject of symbols, can anyone figure out what the other, non-"Obvious" ones are?

Basically, Mind, Hope, Doom, and Rage.

Every dwarf, every dwarven man, women, and child, that comes to our forts will die there; it's truly sad when you think about it. And we ask our selves, why? Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

I always thought Mind looked like it represented synapses.

Doom is a skull.

Rage seems like its a contorted face, possibily clownish in origin.

Hope looks like angelic wings.

Mind looks like a nerve, and that was kind of shown off in the comic.
Spoiler: Mind (click to show/hide)
Doom looks like a skull without the lower jaw.It also looks sort of like a gas mask.
Spoiler: doom (click to show/hide)
Hope looks like angel wings.
Spoiler: hope (click to show/hide)
While Rage looks like Juggalo face paint.
Spoiler: rage (click to show/hide)

Rage also vaguely resembles Ace Dick.

You must be thinking about the Churlish Toff, Ace Dick's Homosexual Gentlemanly counterpart.

6/12 soon.

Let's hype it so we're all extra disappointed when there's no update on that day.

If not an update, we'll probably get a sale on WhatPumpkin.

6/12 tomorrow! All aboard the hype train that is almost surely destined to derail into misery!

In all seriousness, in terms of an update tomorrow, it's definitely possible but also has a decent chance of not happening.

I would be happy with some SBaHJ. Though that would probably take more effort than an actual page, it wouldn't have to connected with the rest of the fuckhugeupdate.

If all the effort put into Homestuck was put into SBaHJ...

I reckon SBaHJ pages take more effort to make than Hometuck pages. I mean, HS uses mostly reusable sprites and even when not it's a straightforward drawing. With SBaHJ Hussie must spend literal hours making sure everything is visually corrupted in a way that both makes it look damaged and still be legible and look okay. Reuse of old panels might cut down on that a bit, but I don't think it offsets the rest of the effort needed, since even the reused panels are edited further.
