Updoot,

but the site seems to be dead.

Again.

Every dwarf, every dwarven man, women, and child, that comes to our forts will die there; it's truly sad when you think about it. And we ask our selves, why? Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

Really? Jakes ability to hope is dependent on spider troll pirate blue lady? That is going to be a thing? Ok, makes enough sense, for MSPA.

Yeah, this seemed weird to me too.  I don't see why the effects of "healing" would be so temporary, but it does fit the "quick fixes don't work" theme.

The theme of homestuck isn't "Quick fixes don't work, always do the long yards" but rather "Fixes that you understand don't work, always wander around in the dark and something will solve things eventually if you suffer long enough!"

Nah, there's plenty of times when plans have worked. Act 6 is really all about the "quick fixes" deal though,

Four years and 8,655 pages in and he's lecturing us about patience?  I think he's preaching to the choir.

To be fair, somewhere between 1k and 2k of those pages are from other adventures.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

There are now dozens of twerking-related easter eggs in Homestuck as a result of John's time shenanigans you guys

I doubt Jake would die permanently.
Aranea's the one who's controlling the clock here, and she wouldn't want Jake dead.

Wow. I honestly didn't feel even slightly sad about the death.
