The creator of a webcomic where teenage people die multiple times each is making a game where you date video-game characters in a high school.

NO POSSIBLE WAY THIS CAN GO WRONG. :v

Y'know... Penny Arcade spent a few years trying to bargain Namco into letting them sell licensed Pac-Man shirts and got nowhere.

I really want to know where this idea actually originated from, and who had to talk who into doing it.

Why would it be fake? They have lots of comics by people like Ryan North there.
Because... Namco... Hussie... Dating sim! I don't even... It doesn't. It just doesn't.

Ryan North... Chris Hastings... Anthony Clark... Galaga! Shifty Look is weird.

Is... is Aranea Tarquin?
nah. aranea isn't really genre savvy. she's only a bond villain.

I like the contrast of first showing Aranea being cut with the dramatical silhouettes and the monologue and the bloody halfsmile, and then we have Gamzee just being devastated by a cane sword and it's a SBaHJ callback and a hilarious gif and doesn't mean anything.

Mmm... Terezi is getting a little unnerving. She was one of my favorite characters too.

How so? All she's doing is getting frustrated at how the clown won't stay down.

That means the clown is winning. The only winning move is not to play. Cut him in half or quarters so you're sure he isn't still alive, make sure you don't leave the head intact and don't take it with you because down that path lies madness.

Well it has to be confusing for her.  She's had this major breakthrough and is trying to upgrade their "relationship" from "lay around drinking faygo and trading insults, and constantly losing at it" to an actual hero-villain rivalry.  But Gamzee isn't responding, because he's mind controlled.  I can see how that would be maddening.  (I don't think he ever hated her at all, anyway, which is what made the relationship so imbalanced and unhealthy.)
