Calliope becomes a sort of Genesis Frog for the entirety of Paradox Space before the main characters escape in a black hole created by Vriska absorbing the Green Sun to another Paradox Space where Lord English hasn't fucked everything up, I guess!

But it's still turtles frogs all the way, so that solves nothing.

Wait, what?

Every dwarf, every dwarven man, women, and child, that comes to our forts will die there; it's truly sad when you think about it. And we ask our selves, why? Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

Oh, come on, you seriously won't accept the idea of an entire universe creating itself??? Homestuck runs on that kind of thing!

Everything ultimately exists because shut up it just does, when you look very closely.

They found the Burger King.

It seems the fandom just keeps getting better at solving stuff that doesn't need solving.

Humanity still has yet to find an accurate explanation for beginning of everything, before creation.

That is the reason philosophy(and, basically, physics as well) demands a cause for everything that happens, right down to the primum movens.

Because as soon as things exist out of themself you can shut up, there are no rules, now John's eyes are part of his glasses and his glasses are a harmless parasite that doubles as GCAT in another quantum state and Dirk's body is actually made out of the concept of depression tempered with the number i and fraymotifs and Prototyping Spires are something that happens spontaneously. And 1 +  1 = 413, but only when Karkat cries.

I could ramble on like a complete madman, but I think you got the point... before I even made this post.
Paradox.

WE WERE ALWAYS AT WAR WITH EURASIA ALTERNIA.

I'm sad right now. I was looking for a song from Homestuck to show to someone and I stumbled across Serenade again.
I'm sad, strangely not for Nepeta, but for the fact that I wasn't rent into tears by the deaths of the characters, that I wasn't scared in the slightest by Gamzee or Kurloz, that I still sometimes have a hard time finding Dave to be funny, and that I've forgotten so much. I feel I just sorta... blanked out in the middle of A5. I've tried to reread, but couldn't will myself through it. And even if I knew as much as I should, I'd still not be effected as emotionally.

Apparently people are supposed to get immersed in things they like, and I have never been able to do that. Closest I have ever gotten is with music.

Paradox.
I don't see how things causing themselves leads to the consequences of madness that you list. But if that's the case, then we have problems, because we already know that Cal caused himself (among other causal loops).

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

If everything that exists caused themselves into existence, there is no reason for things that DO NOT exists to, well, not exist.

Sure there is. It still has to have the capacity to create itself.

Sure there is. It still has to have the capacity to create itself.
And it has to actually exercise that capacity, as well. I mean, the thing is, self-causation is perfectly internally consistent, it just doesn't usually work in the real world on account of travel backwards through time not usually being a thing.

In this way, existence can actually be simplified down to believing in oneself.

Or, for some people, believing in God who believes in you.
