mspa forum adventure.

It's... really good. The protag recently headbutted the fuck out of the incarnation of her own anger. From orbit.

Just really slowly. Real-life things rearing their ugly head.

You have 3 problems with that observation.
1. Tumblr
2. Fandumb vs Fanbase
3. Poe's Law

In order of priority. Anything tumblr related is going to be shitty, full stop. Then anybody that claims to be a part of the fandom of homestuck is dumb and needs to be shot. Then everything else claiming it's good is satire/irony. Homestuck was never good. Just like SBaHJ.

=/

I question what you define as "good" then. What, precisely, is Homestuck lacking? The production levels, while perhaps of a style not all enjoy, is certainly very proficient for what it is trying to be. The jokes have always been funny, save when they are not meant to be. (And you may try to call me on that one, but I think Homestuck may be the one piece of entertainment in all existence that can legitimately use that defense.) The characters, while the spark of many arguments over how well they are written, have enough force of personality to create almost literal cults. The story is complex, perhaps overly so, but you could never claim it treats its readers as stupid. (The narrative itself, as opposed to its narrators.) It's fair to say you might not have enjoyed it, but I would press that might be something different from whether it's actually good, solid, etc. or not.

We get into that whole discussion of "art" almost inevitably when talking about this. Because I could stand all day in a gallery of Van Gogh's greatest works, and I'd fucking hate every moment I was there. I have no ability to enjoy art for more than a minute at a time, but even then I can acknowledge that it is good even if I myself do not enjoy it.

This being Homestuck, I'm not sure whether that's post-scratch Rose or Vriska with a wig.

I got that and I honestly wonder why people  didn't, since it was very blunt, but it still wasn't very good irony.

We get into matters of definitions and opinions here, but I don't think saying something stupid (or something contrary to one's own opinion) in a funny voice is good or valid irony. Irony is taking something, exaggerating it to the point of funniness while somewhat transparently pretending to inhibit a point of view, to have an opinion one hasn't, with the intent to ridicule and expose it. SBAHJ was truly ironic as long as it parodied bad webcomics, gamer/stoner culture and people  throwing money at shit. It left this area after a few strips and turned into full, well...

I hope this coma dreamland  episode has come to its fulminant conclusion, but if the ooze is psychoactive, the adventure has gained an additional dimension, comparable to PS's dream lands. And Emotechs are the candy.

Do you think everyone else in the comic will find out what she said through the same method?
Sounds like something the Huss might pull off: Giving the characters the info only after the readers have figured it out.

So, odds of father's day reunion in Derse?
This comic hates reunions with a passion.

All the Dad's will unite. Even the dead Dads. Especially the dead Dads. They will each grab a pipe, a newspaper, and a hat. Strike a pose because shit just got real. And pap Jade until she snaps out of it.
