Is Mr Doom listening to J-pop... or K-pop?
Man shouldn't know.

In unrelated news, I got the inventory system of the ToME mod running by way of good old petty theft, and now I try to implement leveling related stuff. Abilities are next.
Take a look at this please:

Some feedback would be nice.

I think your current system may be too heavily predicated on Homestuck itself, and you might therefore have problems relating to the nature of the running gags you're basing some of the abilities off of, especially when you have to generalize the system to account for the classes not covered by Homestuck.

This is only tangentially related to Homestuck, but...

Toby Fox made a Thing.

It's a really nice, cute, amazing Thing.

Alright, disscussion time.

Two things,

One: Has anyone noticed how Dirk's Denizen is most likely Yaldabaoth?

Two: Does anyone think that the death of the B1 Speaker of the Vast Croak as a tadpole is going to come back to bite us in the butt in a way? Sort of like: "Haha, you fucked up a long time ago, so now you're permanently screwed."

Every dwarf, every dwarven man, women, and child, that comes to our forts will die there; it's truly sad when you think about it. And we ask our selves, why? Why do we push forward, knowing this fate, that we are destined for failure? Because, this game grasps the concept of mortality. Some games you can never lose, but we all stop eventually, causing a 'death' to those game's 'worlds'. Dwarf Fortress gives us a definite end, knowing that we will leave that world eventually, and move on to more.

Yes, and there was a great Gary-Stu shaming because he got the Maker of Heaven and Earth as his denizen, long, long before we knew how much worse it actually was.

Didn't it already? Jade was unable to clone the correct frog. She was kind of acting as if there was a workaround though, but I might confuse some of those unspoken plans immediately before Cascade.

Also, John's game hand may snatch it before it burns up.

Also it's sealed within a magic 8 ball and dropped into a volcano, no reason that can't be where it's supposed to incubate

You know, that would be SUCH a point-and-click-adventure-game way of doing things. To proceed, you must take the Genesis Frog that you just spend the whole game trying to breed, and throw it in a volcano so it can grow. Sensible puzzles are for the weak.

Not such an out there thing.

Some forests require a gigantic firestorm to make the seeds grow.

that's more an evolution in response to the whole shit happens forest fire thing. i don't think it's par for the course for a universe to be tossed into a volcano. no reason it would be adapted to that.

Of course there is, everything is predestined, and Jade fumbles hers into the volcano. Q.E.D.
