I read everything on my first read-through, but skipped the walkarounds the second time 'round.

I read every word, every time. A not-insignificant portion of my memory is dedicated to remembering everything that happened in this comic.

And in Problem Sleuth, for that matter.

Oh god, I read THE YEAR 4 MEGAPAUSE as THE 4 YEAR MEGAPAUSE. Nearly had a heart attack.

I never skipped a one word of Homestuck. Expect that one recap I guess. Oh and a few flashes that wouldn't load because dial up and didn't show up on Youtube either (an additional issue here is that I could only watch others play the walkarounds, half the time ignoring everything).

Still, there's no way I'm rereading all of it with dial up again. No way at all.

Well. Looks like I'm going to be rereading homestuck.
A lot.
I think the only parts I skipped I reread my second time around, which was very little.
Except the troll romance stuff the second time.
I don't need more useless information packed into my brain. Homestuck has exceeded it's useless information quota.

That's because it is approaching the volume of War and Peace, and it's entirely composed of useless information.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

What if the world ends and we have to play SBurb?
You will regret not taking this opportunity to prepare for the apocalypse.

Yeah, but I doubt even then a in depth understanding of troll romance will be useful.

You'll regret that turn of phrase when you have to abandon your sinking ship of a session and team up with a bunch of grey skinned teenagers.

I went to a meetup yesterday. It was the first time I saw a girl and thought, "Huh, I think I've seen her cosplay before on Tumblr." It's a strange feeling.
