Wait we have the 12 sessions trolls, their danestors who have the exact same blood color, their timeline doubles who also have the exact same color.
Who are the two I'm forgetting? I thought there were only 12 castes (Lime was not shown and red is a mutation)
Apparently the ancestors don't have the same color. Odd, I know, but someone went through with the eyedropper tool. I think it was a good half, maybe third, that was different slightly.

Image compression, dude.

We don't need another Blue Slimer Apocalypse here.  Just settle down.

And really we can just look at the Grand Highblood.  Dude's caught them all.

Hey guys, what is a Fraymotif?
I know it makes you stronger, and it costs boondollars/bucks/whatever.
But what are they exactly?

They seem to be special attacks.
Apparently involving multiple players. Only one we've seen executed is Adagio Redshift, to my knowledge.
But when Dave is doing his whole, "Manipulate the market to get all the boonbucks, all of them" thing Terezi said that he needed to acquire Fraymotifs to get as strong as John. So one would have to assume that atleast some of them are single person attacks.

I think they are tailored to your class and aspect. Sort of like class abilities?

So, is Red Miles a super-special Fraymotif or something?

Pretty sure that's just a ring ability. Like when you're riding magitek armor you get a fire beam.

We saw some of John's in a walkaround, in the consort village. I forgot what it's called though.

Not all fraymotifs are combination attacks. Half of John's were solo.

I heard somewhere that they were like... Musical dance attacks.

Like in game mechanics, if you hit the beat right your offensive capabilities skyrocketed.

This may have been a fanfic.

"Dammit Derm!" - You, if I'm doing it right.
Moved to SufficientVelocity / Spacebattles.

I was going to make a pun involving the word "beat", but I can't think of any atm.

Given the "motif" part of the term and the general punniness of the individual names, they are definitely connected to music.

I guess there was to be some ultraviolent dance-off of epic proportions somewhere along the line, but it was skipped in favour of more troll romance and less working on flashes. Well, there is still the final bossfight...if Homestuck hasn't transcended childish concepts like action and fights yet

This made me laugh more than it should. That means it'll be forever in my signature.
Success.

That doesn't mean that the attacks are related to music. We've seen one high-ish end cooperative fraymotif and there was no dancing.

Motif has meanings in painting, literature and other art forms, as well as the meaning: "a dominant idea or feature" and is also exactly synonymous with the word "motive."

What possible motif could you have for saying that?  I feel quite unmotifated for hearing it.
