John.

John, I don't see you clobbering any empresses or smacking any sense into your relatives.  Whatever you're doing that's not beating women had better really be worth it, young man.

I think that came out wrong.

If I were a different person, I'd be sigging the shit out of this.

Oh come on the little shit's sleeping through everything!

Jade I'm disappointed in you that was going to be his big moment and you let him sleep through it.

What has Vriska ever been plot relevant in any meaningful way since she died? Apart from guided tours through the after life and a treasure hunt.

Isn't what she's doing important for Calliope's quest or something?

Technically they got to "update!" first. I'm a nice guy like that.

Davesprite is a pretty cool guy.

Oh Davesprite no, you don't have to leave.  Why are you leaving?  Everyone still likes you, you're not superfluous, even Jade still likes you.  Just not in that way, which was kinda weird anyway I mean come on.

Hell, where are all of you sprites going?  Why are you dispersing and saying goodbye and shit, just because you're sprites in a game session doesn't mean you have to die or anything.  Maybe it technically does, but shit is crazy off the rails anyway, c'mon stick around.

Damn, my old Davesprite Sadfic is more relevant than ever now.  I sure wish I had a blog so I could remind everyone about it and ride that sense of validation just a little bit farther.

Isn't this the second time Davesprite bails out? Maybe his sprite programming just makes him fly to Skaia no matter what.

Maybe it's part of being a doomed timeline Dave? He's always drawn to wherever shit is about to get the most real, exposing him to maximum chance for being offed?

I mean, he would have been offed by Bequespers Noirlecrow if not for some Fraternal Intervention, and would have been offed by meteors on Skaia if not for Superjade, and probably more situations I'm missing. Maybe his chronic coop-flying is some kind of paradox space crap, in addition to being a broody birdie bastard.
