I think the bigger issue is that only one of them has a heart and a spade. That means only one contribution to the whateverthebucketsarecalled, which means that trolls would become seriously inbred.

Didn't Karkat seem shocked/surprised at human's taboo against incest? I doubt being seriously inbred is an issue for trolls.

Being inbread isn't really much of an issue at all. Sure, their descendants are all going to have bad eyesight and a genetic tendency to go grimdark, but come on, who cares. Inbreeding just makes your children more likely to get hereditary diseases, it doesn't give them the Innsmouth look. And since all the kids were created from paradox slime, they probably don't even have any hereditary diseases that aren't "supposed" to be part of the game.

In the current context of the story, incest is just an arbitrary taboo from a dead culture, and only an issue if Hussie decides to address it as such. John and Jade probably aren't going to be having any babies any time soon, but that's because THEY think it'd be icky. Not because of some universal law of nature.

As for the trolls, they're all related. You should know this already.
