I'd single-mindedly try to go all cyborg and trigger a singularity, erasing all individuality and the illusion of conciousness ("soul") as the Bard of Heart. On the way there plenty of hivemind creepyness, mind control, and general zerg/tyranid style shenanigans lie. This is also incidentally pretty much what I'm doing IRL, just at a faster pace.

Heal people by helping them understand their situation. Pretty standard one really.

That sounds like it be something I'd be saddled with. I'm terrible at dealing with other people. :P

I could be Bard of Void.  I'm the local three-wheeled device for passing messages between estranged family members and friends.  Destroying voids, in a sense.  Then it always turns out that the voids are there for a reason, and I merely invite further destruction by removing the barriers.

Hmm... The Beta kids never played instruments. All the Alpha kids got a jam session... Why no more groooove?

You confused alpha and beta again.

Am I? Doesn't Alpha come first, then Beta? So, for example, Karkat was one of the Beta trolls, and John was one of the Alpha kids?
Or is it reversed?

Blarg could someone explain one more time why the pre-scratch kid session is called Beta?

In that one, Sburb is in beta.
In the other one, Sburb is in alpha. :P

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
